The Rev's bracket is already screwed beyond repair.  The Rev had a gut feeling against Notre Dame, but chose ND anyway.  The Rev had gut feelings about each one of the upsets but chose to ignore his gut.  Luckily, The Rev had 8 teams that survived, but what of it, since two teams The Rev mistakenly chose were bracketed all the way to the final four?  Damn.

the Rev's bracket is now almost beyond repair.  The only teams the Rev chose that have survived are Syracuse and Duke.

Note to self: leave NCAA brackets to people who actually pay attention before March.

Hell, Rev, I thought I had been paying attention and I picked Villanova and Pitt to the Final Four and Kansas to take it all. No matter how much you try to keep up there's not much that can be done if one team goes cold or one team gets really hot (or both).

Even though my bracket kind of torks me off, The Rev likes the fact that small schools are showing the big schools a thing or two.

Chin up, Rev.  I dare say almost everyone's brackets are busted!  Ohio (7-9 in the MAC, before winning the tourney!) over G'town.  UNI (!) over Kansas.  Fortunately, you only gotta beat other fallible humans, not the basketball 'gods'. ;D

Tis the beauty of post-season play.  All year folks (myself included) were macking the Big E as the "best conference" in the NCAA BB.  Reality?  Ah, notsomuch.

Makes me wonder whether SU and/or WVU will fall before the Sweet Sixteen.

Definitely WVU ... Bob Huggins is the worst game coach in the tournament.

I'm not a Huggins fan either but he does have the horses this year to make a deep run. I think they'll beat Washington to get to the Great 8 at least.

LD11 is holding strong.  I have K St beating Kentucky in the finals, with Duke as my other Final 4(other than Kansas).  Just about everyone in our pool has Kansas ATLEASt in the final 4, and the ones that didn't had Georgetown, so that region is pretty much a wash.  But of 66 brackets, like 32 or 33 had Kansas to win, 1 had Georgetown, 1 had Pitt. 1 had Villanova.

Xavier beating Pitt was nice for me as Pitt matched up with K St. nicely, but Xavier shouldn't be able to keep up.  Cuse looks good though so we'll see.  Not sure if anyone can beat Kentucky at this point, unless they stay close and make them hit free throws down the stretch.

good calls...had kentucky going down this round now pbr isnt so sure. figured they were young and inexperienced and would choke or stub their toe at some point. have wv/cuse/baylor as my other final 4 teams w/ kansas.

SF threw his bracket away on Saturday night..  Had 'Nova and Kansas in the Final Game... but only got like 15 right in the first round.  Had Florida, Georgetown, Texas and Texas A&M in Final 8.  Also had New Mexico in Sweet 16... would probably be easier to name the teams that SF still has alive..  BUT, in LD's Snoozcream Bracket Challenge there's a prize for finishing last.  Pretty sure I've got that one sewed up at this point.

I HATE to say this but Kentucky does look really good right now.  I say that because the Kentucky fans are kinda like Yankee fans but they're worse (thats just for comparison).  Someone said Bob Huggins is a horrible game coach... but I don't think that matters too much this year with his WVU team.  They are tough, long and athletic.  They rebound the crap out of the ball and play really hard.  SF really feels that if Kentucky is going to lose, it will be to the Mountaineers --- which really means that SF is going out to purchase West Virginia gear today because he NEEDS them to beat Kentucky to shut their fans up.    In addition to the talent and effort, WVU will get into DeMarcus Cousins' head --- he reacts badly to being fouled and especially when he's fouled hard.  Count on this being an issue, should they play.  The TV announcer said it best when he said... "Cousins needs to realize that he's not too good to be fouled and just shoot his free throws".

The Big East has been a total letdown.... but SF chalks that up to 2 things, really:

** the grind of the regular season... seriously there's not one night where the teams don't have to show up.  Even against teams like Cincy, the games turn into dogfights.  I saw a stat where there was like 65% of the conference games determined by 4 points or less.

** the different style of basketball played outside of the Big East.  Teams are playing spread the court, dribble-drive or whatever you want to call it and the Big East teams are just not accustomed to seeing.  They need to adapt better.  Its also in the preparation (and I'll go more into this just below here with a story about Villanova) --- are the players taking their prep work for these games seriously?  Or they playing the "just roll the basketballs out there and we'll win because we played in the Big East" card ???

Heard a story about some trouble at Nova.. PBR you might be able to confirm...
SF has a friend in Philly who claims he's friends with a mutual friend of Jay Wright.  Anyways, story goes that Scotty Reynolds was disciplined because he just wasn't ready for Robert Morris.  As in the kid didn't even open his scouting report.  Wright had to get his and the team's attention because it was so obvious.  The same guy says there would've been major trouble brewing with Reynolds and team chemistry even if they had won.  Apparently there'll be a story about Scotty Reynolds off the court coming out soon... who knows what that means and also because of the different lineups used at the end of the season, there were some grumblings about playing time.   Who knows...

big east was supposed to be down this year. guess is the way the rankings work is w/ some of them being ranked higher than they should of been and beating up on each other and all losing to each other it in reality raised all their rankings and made them look much better than they really were. know jay wright was telling anyone who would listen that they werent the 2nd best team in the country. pbr is waiting to hear back from a friend who is very high up and involved in the nova program. there are several rumors floating around and yes that is 1 of them regarding the scouting report. waiting for the real deal and confirmation...

Hey all, how's the ruff riders of the LL holding up this winter/spring so far?  Don't have much to contribute as I've spent the last month in lovely Dayton, OH.  Let's just say I've been spending a little too much time in places where they only give you $2 bills because there aren't much by the way of alternatives.  My buddy here actually had the gall to order chicken fingers and I nearly fell down the steps after a private show as I watched in horror as he was licking his fingers.

SF, I sent you a response the other day about going back to Cinci.  Precinct was solid.  We left like zombies after some Bookers, couple of bottles of red wine and some heavy eating (I went with the porterhouse, the other three grabbe the bone in ribeye).  This sat/sun we're hitting the KY bourbon trail and dinner at Jack Fry's in Louisville, but want to get back to Cinci for a little social/night life.

know gro' is excited by the prospect of this...

LONDON, March 23 (UPI) -- British pop singer Boy George
says members of his 1980s band Culture Club are discussing
getting back together next year.
The group is best known for its hits "Do You Really Want
to Hurt Me" and "Karma Chameleon."
"I think we could do a one-off gig or maybe a small tour,"
he told BBC 5. "It's our 30th anniversary next year so we may
do something. ... It's all about my mood at the time."
Boy George, the former band's 48-year-old lead singer, has
battled an addiction to drugs for years and been arrested
numerous times for incidents that occurred when he was under
the influence.
Culture Club briefly reunited in 1998 and appeared
together for a 20th anniversary concert in 2002 in London, the
BBC noted.

Man, I'm sorry... I guess I didn't see that.  I just looked for you and I got your post.  When are you thinking about coming back to Cincy??  The Precinct is very tasty.. You'll like Louisville alot.... the bars are open late (like 4am late) and there's some nice eye candy around the area.  If you get a moment, go visit PT's or Trixie's in Louisville.

Let me know when you are thinking about visiting the 'Nati again... We'll do it up.

+K from Rock to all of you.  Went 5 pages deep --- if you're on those 5 pages and you didn't get any love its because SF doesn't like you (OK, so SF is just trying to find a cool way to say let me know if I skipped you on accident).

*Pissy about the Snoozcream.com Bracket Challenge put on by the boys @ www.Snoozcream.com  The same guy has the BEST bracket that has the WORST bracket.  Pretty sure he did this on purpose, so SF is still the worst game prognosticator in the tournament but will have NOTHING to show for it because some dude was probably picking 16's over 1's and etc.

But SF did find a way to pimp the snoozcream website --- if you gents (and lady) are bored today, take a look.  Its pretty funny 'ish.
