one of my "friends" on the Heartland page took the time to find this little picture of SF from his playing days at Thomas More.  FYI, this DID hurt quite a bit... when I regained consciousness.  Diagnosed with Grade 3 concussion and didn't remember much from that day.  Its how I met formerd3db though, as he was Alma's doctor on the field in 1999.  Funny thing is that the right tackle who gave this up (stepped OUT instead of stepping in on a 3 step drop) blew out his knee 3 plays later and never played football again --- though neither did SF because of this hit and the history of concussions (just like Steve Young only I was right-handed and not very good).  Anyhow... I know PBR and LD will get a kick out of this, so phuck it.

This picture was on Alma's football program cover in 2000...

2 days later, and I still hate Duke.  They have become the ultimate villain. I wouldn't have cared as much if they had beat Michigan State, but Butler? In Indianapolis? Still burns at me. At least they continue to choke in the lacrosse final four, that does give me some satisfaction.

Dlip, just checked my email, thanks for the RIT clip, I'll take a look at it tonight, along with the hit on SF. Given all of the discussion, I'm expecting some cleats in the air.

who is that dood behind home plate in the first row of the yanks/bosox game w/ a UofR shirt on? got to be someone from over on the E8 nation board...

EDIT: stuff never stops....now tiger evidently slept w/ his neighbors 21 year old daughter in his office while elin and kids were in the house. Tiki Barber is leaving his wife since he knocked up an intern who is pregnant w/ twins....these idiots never learn

I think you read the Tiki dlip wrong - his wife is eight months pregnant with twins.  Even more despicable.

Even more info, making him even MORE despicable (as well as hypocritical):

"The affair is particularly stunning in light of Barber's long-standing disdain for his philandering father.
"I don't give a [bleep] that the relationship didn't work," he said of his parents' split in a 2004 Post interview. "Not only did he abandon her, I felt like he abandoned us for a lot of our lives. I have a hard time forgiving that.""

The Rev is reminded of some sage advice given to his crew by a friend's father:

Boys, keep the pistol in its holster and no one will get hurt.

20 years later, this advice still works.

for tiger its got to make the small talk "nice weather we're having..." w/ his neighbor more than uncomfortable....unbelievable to be doin' the dirty in his office on the family property when his wife and kids are there...
