Another reminder that life is very, very fragile.  For those that were not able to play with/against or see Flip play, he was truly one of the great U running back's during a special time for the program.  As good a player as he was, he was an even better person and will be missed by all that knew him.

RIP - Alejandro Felipe

Man, it's been a tough year for UColl. First Bill Conklin (Moonbuggy, Mothra, Courtney Javaron, Buddy Love, too many aliases to remember), then Robert "Bubba" Koonce, and now Flip. I always loved that kid. Quiet as hell, funny as hell.

3 of the more fun and unique individuals you will ever meet. RIP boys.

I was a bit partial to, 'Lance Romance'.

The Rev has been teaching 6th grade and hating it.

One of The Rev's kids is a massive pain in the azz and today The Rev snapped at him and sent him to the principal's office.  The Rev ended up getting himself fired for what he said when snapping on the kid.

The Rev knows it's his own fault and has a history of saying stuff that is entirely inappropriate.  Normally it gets a laugh, but this time it came back to bite him in the ass.  The Rev is a certifiable dubbass.

The Rev can hang on because he's had a slightly illegal evening job teaching at the local aerospace company--that one (with adults) has been going great.  For 2 hours, The Rev earns about half of what it takes him 8 hours to earn at his elementary school, so maybe this isn't such a bad thing.

Anyway, The Rev is now on the job search trail.  Wish me luck, and pray that I learn to filter what's in my head BEFORE it comes out of my mouth!!!

dlip hopes all is well with Rev and is sorry to hear about the unfortunate situation. He wishes Rev all the luck in the world regarding the job hunt and clearly understands how kids can make the blood boil well over the top of the ****ing pot. Hang in Rev!

That looks like a great time.... SF needs to do that some year.

SF met up with Pumpkin Attack this past Saturday to show him a little bit of Northern Kentucky --- he'd been stuck up in Dayton and that town sucks.  Hopefully enough images of the talent around us were saved for the S. Bank so PA can take another few weeks in Dayton.

Anytime any of you are in or around SW Ohio/Northern Kentucky/SE Indiana (Greater Cincy area), let SF know... always up for putting faces with the poster names.

REV --- hang in there.  SF also has "foot in mouth disease" and its cost me a few times, as well.  SF believes REV will be fine bc The Rev seems like a fairly resourceful dude.  Keep us updated

The Rev sent out some resumes already and received a positive response from a language school for adults in Seoul.  Pays better, better hours.  The Rev will have a phone interview on Thursday and maybe head to Seoul next week, God willing, for a face-to-face.

The Rev also has a resume in at a university a couple towns over.  And The Rev is also going to put in apps at the Maritime University (hoping to cash in on Coast Guard experience) and at the Aerospace University (hoping to cash in on my degree and experience in Aviation).  So the Rev is upbeat.  The Rev beat himself up a little earlier for handing the d-bag principal the excuse he's been looking for to cut me loose (Did I have to hand it to him on a silver platter?)  But now The Rev is looking at this as a positive thing.  Good things can happen unexpectedly out of bad things, and usually good things come to those who are open to the opportunity.

Rev, teaching is not for everyone (wasn't for me either) and you will find that this might be a blessing in disguise.

And back in the day you probably would have been a hero and the principal would not only back you up, but the kids parents would probably back you up as well and give the kid a swift kick in the arse.

Congratulations to the bride-to-be are deemed terming her 'desperate'.  Congratulations are to the groom-to-be as he is the one to have 'won the prize' of his lady's hand.

The Rev had a phone interview this afternoon that went very well.  This evening I got an e-mail from the interviewer saying that we'll talk tomorrow.  He also said that, unless The Rev says something completely stupid and off the wall, I will receive a contract for a July start.

The Rev taught today. It was like nothing happened except that kids were coming up to me, hugging me, and saying they're so glad I'm back.  I was given the option today of staying until the end of the year.  I'm taking it. At the same time, I'm not going to go without a fight.  The kid that got me in trouble called me gay and said I wanted to have sex with another male teacher.  He's not in trouble at all.  Well, not yet at least.  The Rev is about to light a 43 day conflagration.

The Rev just lit the kindling by writing to that teacher telling him what the kid said and how the principal is letting him get away with it while The Rev is getting cut loose.  If The Rev can't get any direct justice, maybe a little indirect will suffice.
