St. Lawrence looking for a head football coach as Chris Phelps resigns to take coaching job at prep school.

It's never a good sign for your program when your head coach resigns to move DOWN a division to take a job at a prep school. The big surprise in the story is that SLU has only had one winning season in the last 15. I know they have been down of late, but didn't realize they had been down so long.

It might be time for Chief High Socks to ride back and save his alma mater.

Good point.  CHS could boil up some of his famous 'Salt Potato's' for the interview process.....maybe even drop a door compressor on a Co-Ed's head.

To this day they are still the best "buhtayta's" I have ever eaten. I remember eating like a hundred of those at once. Well, whatever I could snatch without Cletus and Bubba biting a finger...

Speaking of gluttony, Tiggs and I were speaking of college days the other day.  Darryl refreshed my memory that if you brought food to 'Apt. Central', you were forced to douse it with as much hot pepper as you could tolerate.  Even a tuna sub must be covered in the hot stuff, otherwise Vern would stare at you until you offered that broke ass bastard half of whatever you had.

"Sorry Bob, I put hot pepper on my turkey sub."  Only then could you eat your food in peace.....as long as you could deal with the mouth numbing heat.

I live downhill from a bank. Said bank has a large area of grass about it.

I woke up at 6:20 this morning to a loud buzzing noise. As I gained consciousness, I realized it was someone mowing the grassy area of the bank.

Seriously? 6:20 a.m.??? This isn't July, there's no heat wave, you don't need to mow before the heat of the day to preserve air quality. SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL SLEEPING! Or were trying to...

Found a photo of The Grove with her .50 caliber taking care of business on the grassy knoll...

most towns have noise laws...for example those doods cant fire up their mowers until 7am in our town/township....believe pbr if they tried that they would be driving around their mowers wandering what that infrared dot was on their chest...

Jesus... PBR... thats the first that SF heard of the noise laws.  OK, I take that back.... if you ever fly out of John Wayne (Orange County), you'll realize that planes can't start arriving or departing before 7am ---- because the citizens of Ritzy Newport Beach don't want their sleep interrupted.  Hello??  You moved there AFTER the airport was built (well most of them)...

Doid,
U89 heard a rumor that you are getting into the beer bidnezz.......

SF showed PA a good time in Cinci, unfortunately PA couldn't represent Bart that well, had to leave around midnight.  Was able to accomplish a little bird watching, which I couldn't even do at a girls gone wild in Miamisburg, OH.

Good luck to Phelps.  He's a good cat and remember him from PA's early time at Bart.  Too bad he couldn't turn around SLU.  Hopefully he and Bobby Wynn can double team lax studs and send more Daryl Veltman's and Jamie Kirk's to Bart, who's sorely in need of players after completely quitting on this season after the Cuse game (7 weeks ago).

Kind of surreal, sitting in a meeting, a guy is discussing beer, and then they roll a cart around handing out ice cold cans for a taste test. I'm thinking we're going to talk about the labeling/ branding, etc., but then the CEO cracks open a cold one, and everyone follows. Everyones drinking their beers as the guy continues presenting, an akward look around after I finish the first one, but on of the older guys reaches for the second, and off we go. This could get interesting if we come out with Vodka...

Goodell drops 6 game suspension on Big Ben

dlip applauds Goodell for this. He feels Big Ben, although a ****ing nasty clutch QB, seems like a pretty serious dirtbag. Dude is just plain ****ing stupid for consistently putting himself in these situations over and over again.
