That's because the winner IS horrible.  Especially singing U2.

I disagree that he's horrible.  I 100% think the U2 choice is crap.  They tried to sabotage him, and now he is stuck with that stupid song.  What is it, 4 years old anyway?  (OK, I just checked and it came out in 2000 but regardless-They might as well covered a friggin Coldplay song)  It's stoopid.  Typically the winner gets screwed anyway, because the album is too produced.  Nowadays, people want to hear more raw material, singer/songwriter type of stuff.  The first album will sell because of the hype, but most likely it will suck unfortunately.  Give him a few years, and with his own sound and record and I bet you'll change your thoughts.

Yea I just watched a couple of his videos.  The U2 song actually wasn't that bad given the fact he was all fired up and excited from just winning.  I'm sure his energy level had a lot to do with how that song was going to be performed.

On the other hand it just seems like he can miss a lot of those high notes.

Here is an original recorded before AI.  It's not bad.

My old lady is heading out of town, so it's a lazy beach weekend for the Dogg.  Grab a few ice coldies for the Celts game tonight.  Probably get the UFC fights Saturday.  Hit the beach then bounce around downtown Sunday and catch a few bands.  Beach Monday maybe followed by a little disc golf.  Nice little relaxing weekend for me.

Yea that's a good tune.  Kind of has a Dave Matthews sound to it but its a good Friday wind down song nonetheless.  I'm not sure this guy has the pipes to hit every note but if he finds his own style he can be pretty good.
