Sorry to disturb your odd love-fest with a question, but, where is Susquehanna going?

Am I to believe they are jumping conferences again?

They remind me of a frat brother of mine who kept just ahead of the rent collectors.

I guess the traditionalist in me prefers that teams stay within their own conferences - what's next, will Penn State join the Big Ten?

By the way some LL talk: dlip is feeling that with Union (of course he has to talk about the U) bringing some very athletic and and talented football players on the offensive side of the ball (Coney, Gallo) this may just be Andrew Connelly's year. dlip gives this kid a ton of credit for his maturity and leadership through some of his growing pains at the helm and has a gut feeling it may all pay off here in 2010.

Union is the team to beat in the LL this season - hands-down.  They have the most returning starters in key positions across the board.

They also have amazing chemistry:

Hate to admit it, but..........always funny.

I thought it was funny, too, until I took a look at the boys in the upper left box, hell, they're about to make out...

+K to the board for starting to talk about football.

dlip has to hit you with a +k for that JT! ;)

JT is a little foggy on how that was created.  He thinks its Frank the Tank's photos and something about Lewdog mentioning effeminate. A lightbulb went off, and there you go.

No, I was in the Press Box for this game (2005 Union @ F&M -- it was Reigle (the shorter player in the pics) who caught a Hail Mary pass on fourth down from near midfield inside one minute left to give Union the win, securing the perfect 2005 regular season).  I might have linked to Darenda Sheridan's photo pages through Flickr or the like back then.  She was one of the mothers who was heavily involved in the Union tailgates and parents' efforts.  Beyond that, I decline to comment on the use of the pictures :-)

Where've you been, bro?  ;)

PS - I am disappointed that this year's schedule does not include your alma mater. Something wrong with that picture...

A little golf story a friend sent KS.
A nun walks into Mother Superior's office and plunks down into a chair. She lets out a sigh heavy with frustration.

'What troubles you, Sister?' asked the Mother Superior. 'I thought this was the day you spent with your family.'

'It was,' sighed the Sister. 'And I went to play golf with my brother. We try to play golf as often as we can. You know I was quite a talented golfer before I devoted my life to Christ.'

'I seem to recall that, 'the Mother Superior agreed. So I take it your day of recreation was not relaxing?'

'Far from it,' snorted the Sister. 'In fact, I even took the Lord's name in vain today!'

'Goodness, Sister!' gasped the Mother Superior, astonished. 'You must tell me all about it!'

'Well, we were on the fifth tee and this hole is a monster, Mother -540 yard Par 5, with a nasty dogleg left and a hidden green....and I hit the drive of my life. I creamed it. The sweetest swing I ever made. And it's flying straight and true, right along the line I wanted...  and it hits a bird in mid-flight !'

'Oh my!' commiserated the Mother. 'How unfortunate! But surely that didn't make you blaspheme, Sister!'

'No, that wasn't it,' admitted Sister. 'While I was still trying to fathom what had happened, this squirrel runs out of the woods, grabs my ball and runs off down the fairway!'

'Oh, that would have made me blaspheme!' sympathized the Mother.

'But I didn't, Mother!' sobbed the Sister. 'And I was so proud of myself! And while I was pondering whether this was a sign from God, this hawk swoops out of the sky
and grabs the squirrel and flies off, with my ball still clutched in his paws!'

'So that's when you cursed,' said the Mother with a knowing smile.

'Nope, that wasn't it either,' cried the Sister, anguished,' because as the hawk started to fly out of sight, the squirrel started struggling, and the hawk dropped him right there on the green, and the ball popped out of his paws and rolled to about 18 inches from
the cup!'

Mother Superior sat back in her chair, folded her arms across her chest, fixed the Sister with a baleful stare and said...

'You missed the dlippin' putt, didn't you?'
