A little golf story a friend sent KS.
A nun walks into Mother Superior's office and plunks down into a chair. She lets out a sigh heavy with frustration.

'What troubles you, Sister?' asked the Mother Superior. 'I thought this was the day you spent with your family.'

'It was,' sighed the Sister. 'And I went to play golf with my brother. We try to play golf as often as we can. You know I was quite a talented golfer before I devoted my life to Christ.'

'I seem to recall that, 'the Mother Superior agreed. So I take it your day of recreation was not relaxing?'

'Far from it,' snorted the Sister. 'In fact, I even took the Lord's name in vain today!'

'Goodness, Sister!' gasped the Mother Superior, astonished. 'You must tell me all about it!'

'Well, we were on the fifth tee and this hole is a monster, Mother -540 yard Par 5, with a nasty dogleg left and a hidden green....and I hit the drive of my life. I creamed it. The sweetest swing I ever made. And it's flying straight and true, right along the line I wanted...  and it hits a bird in mid-flight !'

'Oh my!' commiserated the Mother. 'How unfortunate! But surely that didn't make you blaspheme, Sister!'

'No, that wasn't it,' admitted Sister. 'While I was still trying to fathom what had happened, this squirrel runs out of the woods,grabs my ball and runs off down the fairway!'

'Oh, that would have made me blaspheme!' sympathized the Mother.

'But I didn't, Mother!' sobbed the Sister. 'And I was so proud of myself! And while I was pondering whether this was a sign from God, this hawk swoops out of the sky
and grabs the squirrel and flies off, with my ball still clutched in his paws!'

'So that's when you cursed,' said the Mother with a knowing smile.

'Nope, that wasn't it either,' cried the Sister, anguished,' because as the hawk started to fly out of sight, the squirrel started struggling, and the hawk dropped him right there on the green,and the ball popped out of his paws and rolled to about 18 inches from
the cup!'

Mother Superior sat back in her chair, folded her arms across her chest, fixed the Sister with a baleful stare and said...

'You missed the dlippin' putt, didn't you?'

Definitely k-worthy. Got to share that one with all my golfing friends.

yup...looks like kiffin continues to pizz off almost everyone he comes across....karma is going to catch up w/ him soon....

     Los Angeles (AP) -- Add Titans coach Jeff Fisher to the
list of people Lane Kiffin had ticked off in Tennessee.
     Kiffin hired Titans assistant coach Kennedy Pola on
Saturday to be his offensive coordinator and running backs
coach at Southern California, irking Fisher by failing to
follow the usual protocol in courting another team's
assistant.
     Fisher voiced his displeasure with his alma mater's new
head coach to the Tennessean newspaper, saying Kiffin hadn't
made the customary contact to tell the NFL team he was
interested in Pola, a former USC player and assistant coach who
joined the Titans after last season ended.
     The move also left the Titans without a running backs coach
one week before training camp opens.
     "I am very disappointed in Lane Kiffin's approach to this,"
Fisher told the newspaper. "Typically speaking when coaches are
interested in hiring or discussing potential employment from
coaches on respective staffs there is a courtesy call made from
the head coach or athletic director indicating there is an
interest in talking to the assistant.
     "So I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism
on behalf of Lane, to call me and leave me a voice mail after
Kennedy had informed me he had taken the job. It is just a lack
of professionalism."
     Kiffin attempted to rectify the damage later Saturday,
finally reaching Fisher and discussing the abrupt move. Kiffin
then issued a statement that didn't exactly deny he had
breached protocol, saying he first spoke to Pola on Friday, and
then called Fisher on Saturday after Pola called him back,
apparently to accept the job.
     "I have spoken with Coach Fisher and he now has an accurate
understanding of the timeline of events," Kiffin said. "We
realize the timing of this isn't perfect for all parties, but
this is a great opportunity and promotion for Kennedy."
     The state of Tennessee hardly needs another reason to
dislike Kiffin, who infamously bolted from the Volunteers last
January after just 14 months to take his self-described dream
job at USC, leaving an angry mob in Knoxville.

On a separate note, anyone hear about this "UFL"?  Apparently my home town of Hartford just added a team called the Colonels...

JT always liked Haden as a broadcaster.  Seems like a good choice.

SF still has family in LA and the consensus is they need Hayden for his squeaky clean and very smart image... there is about to be another bombshell dropped (perhaps?).  Mike Garrett made ALOT of money by railroading his University's football team into a hillside.  I hope it takes 25 years to get back... and they are on the right track with Lane Kiffin. 

Which makes me think... no way does Kiffin and Hayden get along... oil and water.  Start the Lane watch now.

doesn't surprise me, all those Trojans are dbags (even SF's family).  SF really likes making fun of Biff who rides the white horse around the Coliseum..  Someone needs to hit him with a football, ala Varsity Blues
