Apparently, or so it would seem, some of the posters neither read nor think.

Peasant indeed, do you have a King's commission  commoner?

I think not.

Therefore, stand aside for one who does.

Land tilling is for serfs who work for the nobleman in the employ of the King.

This blasphemy must come to end or else everyone involved will experience the wrath of Lewdoth Stonehammer, as I reclaim Prima Nocta for all of your women on thine next anniversary.  Tis my noble rite!!!

Indeed is your rite...do NOT stir up Lewdoth Stonehammers anger or his full vengeance shall cast down upon you and feel his full fury....

Crom, you are all weak, There is only steel.

pbr sayeth there conan...indeed thy was good in conan time but no matcheth for thy lewdoth stonehammer

Stone(hammer) doth be no match for STEEL!

No.  But they should arrest him for being a fraud.  Of course, you're a Vikings fan though, so you're probably happy he is back...I would be too with Tarvaris Jackson as the fallback!  I am just sick of it all, personally, and i'm hoping for his failure.  Sucks how a guy can go from being one of my all-time favorite athletes to a schmuck in just a few short years.

Atleast everyone hates Clemens.

I am glad he's back, too, but I also really don't like to see people arrested without cause. :)

didn't I see you on the news, Pat??  Standling along the curb with 99 others cheering Favre as he went by, OJ-style ??

Agree about Favre, and now they are saying there's a rift between him and Childress... if they lose, LD, the Vikings will be in the news even more, it appears.

Our QB coach at TMC my senior year had us do the "Favre fake" after handing off... little did I know at the time that when someone mentions that 11 years later they could be talking about faking retirement!!

Aww come-on now.  How can you blame a guy for gaming the system just so he can miss two adays.  For a guy that has done 25+ years of them I think it is great when someone can avoid the only part of football that really kind of sucks.  I think for all of us that have done those tortious weeks for so many years I for one just laugh and it tells me how far someone will go to miss out on them but still get to play the game.

Agreed.  I was hoping for his failure last year and will be doing so again this year.

I just don't understand the degree of hostility to Favre.  I agree he has been a prima dona in the way he has handled his retirements.  But he is a guaranteed first-year HoFer. who is no-doubt aching like hell, but still loves the game.  I can understand his indecision.

And I don't think his indecision is JUST to miss training camp; by now he could just dictate "I ain't coming" and (given the results) who would deny him?

I think he honestly can't decide.  Since he has more than enough money for the rest of his life (and several generation of Favres), I would certainly be wondering about retirement health vs. love of the game.

The hostility is that he's done this same act for how many years?  How many times did we see him crying after the last Packers game wondering if its his last?  I actually was cool with him this year because he kept his mouth shut and he stayed out of the media all off-season, right up until he said he wasn't coming back, and then came back...again!!!

Either make a decision, or stay silent until the FINAL decision is made for that year.  He is a whore.

Well it's mid-August, so it's time to get back in the pattern, buy my kickoff preview, and dust off the orange and purple vuvuzela.

Don't hate on Favre, you'd do this every year to skip practice and get more money if you could.  Just not to hang out in Mississippi with a high school team.  Maybe the French Quarter.  He's the Mike Tyson of football, without the sex crimes and movie roles.

I always knew Clemens was damned Red Stocking at heart.  And a terrorist.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
