Favre lied to Congress?

No.  But they should arrest him for being a fraud.  Of course, you're a Vikings fan though, so you're probably happy he is back...I would be too with Tarvaris Jackson as the fallback!  I am just sick of it all, personally, and i'm hoping for his failure.  Sucks how a guy can go from being one of my all-time favorite athletes to a schmuck in just a few short years.

Atleast everyone hates Clemens.

Agreed.  I was hoping for his failure last year and will be doing so again this year.

I just don't understand the degree of hostility to Favre.  I agree he has been a prima dona in the way he has handled his retirements.  But he is a guaranteed first-year HoFer. who is no-doubt aching like hell, but still loves the game.  I can understand his indecision.

And I don't think his indecision is JUST to miss training camp; by now he could just dictate "I ain't coming" and (given the results) who would deny him?

I think he honestly can't decide.  Since he has more than enough money for the rest of his life (and several generation of Favres), I would certainly be wondering about retirement health vs. love of the game.

Above all his other BS, the sack Favre 'allowed' to Strahan to break the record was disgusting and actually made the event a bit anticlimactic.

The hostility is that he's done this same act for how many years?  How many times did we see him crying after the last Packers game wondering if its his last?  I actually was cool with him this year because he kept his mouth shut and he stayed out of the media all off-season, right up until he said he wasn't coming back, and then came back...again!!!

Either make a decision, or stay silent until the FINAL decision is made for that year.  He is a whore.

LewDogg and I often don't see eye to eye...but I am totally on board with him on this subject.  Brett Fraud is a prima donna.  If he simply said that I am going to play until 32 general managers tell me that they don't want me on their team, I would have no problem with that...even if he played until he was 50 years old.  But this "I'm done" and crying to the media thing year after year is just terrible.  I mean come on...3 teammates had to fly to his house on a private jet and have a sleep over just to "convince" him to come play again this year?  The guy is an attention whore...nothing more.  Here is hoping the team implodes by week 6...

Fellas,

if the Vikings implode, we'll see MORE of Favre on the news this year as they've already started talking about the issue between him and Childress.  I'm rooting for them to win their first 12 by 2 TDs.. and stay off the TV.

what a soap opera if true in minnesota!! espn (not that pbr trusts anything they report anymore) reports that certain player(s) say that favre would of come back but that he is hesitating because favre thinks childress doesnt know how to design an offense and call plays. otherwise he would of come back quickly....to me if you have those kinds of questions either clear the air behind closed doors w/ childress or just retire....this soap opera is red-iculous...although watching this is going to be fun....

I kind of agree with Mr. Ypsi here.  I mean, Farve doesn't go out of his way grabbing cameras, holding press conferences and talking smack about everyone does he?  The worst thing he has done is not being up front with the Vikings about coming back or not.  But then again, if the Vikings don't want him, then don't play him right?  So he cries at a couple press conferences and has retired 7 times.  That doesn't effect me at all.  It's not like teams have to play him or pay him.

I dunno.

First off, there is nothing wrong with dressing up as a clown, or having grown men sit on your lap.  Everyone would agree with me there.

Secondly, you can't fool anyone with this new stunt you are trying to pull off LD, and that's play football for Ithaca College.  Ladies and gentleman, LD has attempted to trick admissions and enroll at IC as a freshman again.

KS I think your state school copy and paste skills may be failing ya.  Or am I reading something different than you were?

Somebody just fixed it, probably a Cortland grad helped them out.

I dunno.

Well, you're a frickin clown so I guess that makes sense.

'Hey, It's me Jonny Utah!  Come sit on my lap Brett!

(For those who have never seen LD, this is what he looks like if he combed his hair)

Damn i'm handsome aren't I?  And my beard is impecable.
