I've got a bad feeling about the Dutchmen's chances tomorrow at Butterfield. Of course, I always get a bad feeling when playing the Ithica Cornbombers. Heard that UColl looked pretty shaky against Yale in their scrimmage last weekend. Hoping that the boys can pull one out and start off the season right.

Doid,
What analysis did you get of the scrimmage....I've heard nothing.

The Dude went up to the scrimmage last weekend (I have no idea why). His exact quote was "not pretty. Doesn't look like one of the Dutchmen's strongest squads".

Of course, The Dude fears the Cornbombers as we all do, so he may be jaded.

No one feared the Cornbombers like Stack feared the Cornbombers.

True, true.

Sadly The Rev can not bring his little caramel colored mistress.  The Rev thinks she would be overwhelmed by Upstate NY.

Funny. +K

DLIP Throwing you some K, bring it with you to Butterfield, we're going to need it.

Probably not one of IC's strongest either given it took them 47 mins to score an offensive TD on SLU.  TGP has heard both OLs are young, banged up and leads TGP to surmise the defenses will need to carry the day.

Turnovers also will play a big role - Connolly threw a lot of picks last season - and Conti's INT at the end of the 1st half in the Larries game pretty much turned the corner for the Bombers in that one.

Good luck to both teams.

I think the correct term is UNDERwhelmed...

That said caramel is a good adjective...you look that much whiter (if that's possible) by comparison

As a tribute to the ninth anniversary of the events of 9/11/01 tomorrow, we will be playing this clip during halftime of our college football broadcast of Union at Ithaca on 1160AM WABY-Mechanicville, NY. In case you can't join us, I wanted to post this clip since it is very much worth the listen -- WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Here's hoping my beloved Pumpkinheads can open the new stadium with more gusto than my beloved Vikings returned to the scene of the crime last night.  Predictions?

Hobart  27
Dickinson 20
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Well, as long as "the thing speaks for itself!"

Bart sould take this one:

Pumpkins of Fall: 28
Dickinson: 17

Prediction Time.......

Union-------31
Ithica-------17

Just seems like a bad Larries team was statistically able to keep the Bombers under control.  Turnovers and a lack of any offense killed St. Lawrence......Union will play better 'D' and will certainly bring a better 'O'.......as for the turnovers, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The Rev was sitting here wondering why people are making predictions.  The Rev realized, "Oh, it's Saturday morning there."

If Hobart beats Dickinson today, The Rev will be very happy.

BTW, if you guys would kindly suggest to the Dutchmen that they should throw the game against Hobart so that I don't have to fly all the way back to Asia bitter, that would be nice.  Thanks.

Rev,
Would love to help a brother out, but I don't have nearly that much pull......

One look at The BOZ, and the caramel colored angel (CCA) will be begging to move to Geneva.  Then The Rev will have to break the news to here that there are no jobs for miles around.  (Note to self: try to land position as chaplain at Hobart.)

She doesn't really like the photos because she says she looks to dark.  I say I look too white.  She can't even conceive of the idea "too white."  The Rev recalls the rule at the Sigma Chi house on 775 S. Main, that The Rev was not allowed to take off his shirt lest the brotherhood be blinded and the chicks run away.

The CCA has linked up to my cousin's FB page and is looking longingly at his kids because they are Filipino-American mixes.  She's getting ideas.  Oh yes, my friend, she is getting ideas.  Even though we've only been 'an item' for four months, The Rev thinks he'll be married by March or April, and you may all come to the baptism 9 months after that.

TGP, did you get the e-mail to buy Hobart athletic gear?  Rev lusts after the Gore-Tex jacket.  Rev wonders if he can get "AT" for Athletic Trainer since Rev didn't have a number?

The Rev appreciates the thought, U89.  The Rev really doesn't really want it thrown, because whether Hobart wins or loses, Rev would much rather know it was fair and square.  The ride back to Asia will be all the sweeter.
