SF, have you been working on the production/marketing for Ochocinco's cereal?

Same thing happened to the Coast Guard.  We had a boating safety line and whoever was in charge of it forgot to renew the number.  As the number expired it was bought by a phone-sex business.  The Rev isn't sure how long the number was on the website, but suddenly there was a flurry of e-mails, and The Rev recalls being told NOT to call the number, until they could find out what happened and re-do the website.  (Having coded a couple websites, I wondered what would be so hard about pulling a phone number, but apparently it was really HARD WORK to type in a password, delete 9 digits, and re-upload the page.  Took months.)

Nice.  I still think Bart's a very good team in the East and maybe top 5-6 despite laying an egg vs. SJF.  I know SLU just got this insipring first win, but I have a feeling Bart's going to be pretty pissed off looking to knock some blocks off on Sat.  I just hope they keep their composure as they've picked up a lot of penalties through the first three games.  Either way, could be a painful Sat. for Kearney or Spadoni or whoever SLU's running out there at QB.

The Rev is going to go out on a limb today and say that Hobart is going to run the table this season, with SJF being the only loss.  That's not to say they will be easy wins--not at all--but The Rev thinks Hobart will take the LL this year.

Webb will also be the youngest player in Hobart history to get into the Statesmen Hall-of-Fame.

Soo, I've been away for a little while, and my Bart just got the a** handed to them last week, but is it too early to ask, um, what's up with RPI?

Dlip's right though.  Last year and this are not illustrating any strength in the league whatsoever.  I think the best we can hope for is that whoever gets into the NCAA's get a decent first round matchup and makes it to round 2.  That's pretty much the ceiling this year, clearly, unless one of two teams improves by a mile in the next six weeks.

I would be psyched with not getting 'MonkeyStomped' in the 1st Round.

Not quite sure, but with the new stadium and facilities built, I can't imagine losing is going to be accepted for too long by the Administration.  Hopefully they can get it together.  It looks like the have some players and just can't put it together on the field.

The League in general looks atrocious.....RPI is kind of running into the stadium with the flag though.

Going back to ICAC days, Pep found a fabulous video on Youtube of an encounter between Union College and Alfred University played at Union's Alexander Field(?) Nov. 9, 1968. The Dutchmen won 6 games that year--most since an unbeaten 1949 season, while the Saxons (and Pep remembers the season well) finished at 2-5. If Pep remembers correctly, the ICAC was loosely organized then with some members choosing NOT to play others so an ICAC title was often disputed. But Union beat all the ICAC teams it played that year.

AU was not very offensive that year, but the defense was led by #55 LB Bill Assenhemer. This video is probably the best Pep has seen from that era. Small college football has certainly changed through the years! (Legendary) Coach Alex Yunevich likely had 50 men on his roster. Games drew big crowds as shown in this 13-minute video.

+K.  Gotta have some positive thinking though.  Maybe one of Union or Hobart will improve a bit over the next few weeks enough to make some noise.

Webb (and Worthington to a lesser extent) is nasty.  I'm not sure how to feel about him picking a fight and shoving guys in the end zone after seemingly every score, and there's been a lot of them.

Honestly U89 dlip is usually pretty positive no matter what but if he is being honest he agrees with you 100% here. His hopes for the league are for whomever gets the bid to just be respectable, please be respectable. A win, well that would make dlip ecstatic and the only two teams who have a possible shot at the are Union and the clear favorite Bart IDHO.

Sadly, I've got to agree with both of you on this one.  I've watched or listened to the SLU games this year, and they just can't get any real momentum on offense.  They have been very mistake-prone anytime they start driving the ball.  The D is ok, but they don't have a Gerard Bryant type player to take over a game.

Not a huge golf fan, watch majors and Ryder Cup, but one thing I do know is that the US always has the ugliest Ryder Cup uniforms. Now the rainsuits and golf bags aren't even waterproof. Good thing they're not playing in a place that rains a lot. Not to mention the ridiculous names on the back, ridiculous stripes all over, just hideous. I think it's time to stop letting the wives design the uniforms.

Great video Pep. +K

Yes that was Alexander Field.  I believe the new field now known as Bailey Field was built in 1981-82.

Doid, could that have been Bobby Ridings shooting the cannon after the Union scores that far back?
