The Rev was dismayed this morning to wake up and see that SLU beat Hobart.  Looks like my prediction of Hobart running the table goes up there with "DEWEY WINS!" and Mark Twain's death as premature declarations.

Make sure some of you fools check your LLPPFFL lineups.  It's a bye week for a few teams and some guys need to make some updates.  Don't be terds.

Good luck PBR.  Time for the Cell Phone Donger to get back on track.

That didn't work too good did it?  I missed Andre Johnson being out, not that I had another receiver to plug in.  Addai had a big day.  Need a big day out of Henne tomorrow night for the Twab Quabbers to get their first win.

from an outsiders view...can't ever remember the LL being this weak. Not sure what is going on whether its injuries/weak recruiting/coaching/players not developing like projected but its like the entire LL has been on this downward spiral not just 1 or 2 teams...

Yea but at least the season is interesting for a lot of teams now.  Everyone pretty much still has a shot.  Plus when you really think about it, what are the worst things that have happened this year?

I think we are so used to the status quo, that we forget a few things that just might happen this year that have never happened before:

1. WPI may be back on track
2. St. Lawrence actually has the ability to beat anyone on any given day.
3. Utica is not a pushover team or easy win.
4. RPI just might not have a good team this year.

have to say WPI is probably the biggest surprise in the LL so far this year. most everyone thought SLU would be better maybe not this quick but thought the new coach would turn things around. Utica would be probably 2b. for surprises...didn't expect RPI to struggle this much this year. thinking LD/Gro/Reg need to head back there and crack some skulls and demo on how to play the game again...

It's a crazy year doid and dlip really does not know what to make of it. The parity is good and really exciting, the league's OOC record and obvious weakness and decline in comparison to the rest of the nation; very very bad... :-[

Coach DeLong had an interesting take on the East's "weakness" (or lack thereof)...obviously the E8 has owned the LL to date, but a SLU win this Saturday and RPI having two weeks to prep for Alfred may help us gain a little respect...

WPI and Coach Robertson should get a lot of credit for the remarkable turnaround from last season...Raymond obviously is doing what needs to get done to make SLU a winning program.  Hobart needs a W this Saturday or they are basically done...Rev - you better bless the Boz prior to kickoff.

Get er done!

Darn it, I was hoping WPI would be an easy W for Susquehanna at the end of the season...

It would be huge for SLU to get a 3rd win in a row.  Don't think they have done that since the 1970's or something.  That said, Utica looks to be pretty solid.  Hopefully the SLU defense can keep them in the game again.

say goodnight gracie to UNC's football program...NCAA doesn't have the brass ones to let if affect their hoops program...

From the linked Yahoo piece by Charles Robinson:

"Lawyers for former University of North Carolina assistant coach John Blake said Monday that their client did indeed engage in multiple financial transactions with NFL agent Gary Wichard during his time with the Tar Heels.

Last week, Blake's attorneys said they believed the transactions in an Sept. 29 Yahoo! Sports report had occurred prior to Blake being hired at UNC. But after reviewing financial records over the weekend, attorney William H. Beaver II said the transactions did occur while Blake was coaching at North Carolina. Those financial ties included six wire transfers ? in May 2007, October 2007, December 2007, April 2008, March 2009 and October 2009. Beaver also corrected previous statements regarding a $45,000 personal loan to Blake from Wichard's Long Island bank, and a credit card issued in Blake's name that was tied to Wichard's agency, Pro Tect Management. Beaver, of the firm GrayRobinson in Orlando, said both the loan and credit card overlapped with Blake's time at North Carolina."

I can't remember documentation like this of financial transactions between an agent and an active college coach.
