PBR...

Pat Coleman

Wow, big break in the LL board.

Wanted to let LLand know I'll be in the LL for a while this afternoon. After taking in the William Paterson-Morrisville State game at 1 I'll be heading to WPI-Merchant Marine for a 4 p.m. kickoff, where I'll be joining Ray Martel on the air when I arrive. And we'll be channeling 1994, which is the first time Ray and I ever called a game together. :)

TGP,

Sorry.  I forgot to recharge my phone last night and it ran out of juice just as The Rev and Dear old Daddy were pulling into Geneva.  The Rev may have said something to the effect of, "Rats! Gosh darn it all to heck!"

Wow, it was a crazy game.  The Rev was super stressed out for the whole second half.  Check: the Rev was stressed from just befoe halftime when Union had a 13 second drive and scored.  Again, the Rev may have uttered something to the effect of, "Rats!"

Since you have all probably seen the score by now, no need to recap it.

The BIG NEWS of the day is that The Rev finally met Frank The Tank Rossi, and Frank allowed The Rev some on-air time.  Thank you, Frank.  It was a lot of fun and very kind of you.

Major break on the LLPP.  Gro is with Holladawg and Reg is eating cheese somewhere....

Pat, how was the game?  Being a little more traveled than the rest of us...and since we are all pretty disappointed in the East Region...how bad is it?  As bad as we anticipate?  Not as bad?  Granted, you saw two lower level outfits, but i'm curious for sure.

I went to a HS game here last night(first one this year) and i'm sticking to my guns, that there is no comparison in talent between the Northeast and the South.  I walked by the endzone while they were getting reading to stretch and most of these kids were bigger than a lot of d3 kids that i've seen recently.  Not the lineman, but the skill players.  6'3", 6'4"...and so fast.  I don't get it...and maybe it really is something in the water.

And to add to it, I just got a synopsis from a HS game in MA last night between two of the better programs in the state(Methuen and Chelmsford), and there were maybe 200 fans there.  It's embarrassing.  And people didn't want to believe me and Podunk...

You guys should have taken the drive out to Geneva.  You missed what may have been one of the most exciting games of the decade.  That is no exagerration.  There better be a killer write-up about it in Around the Region, if not in Around the Nation.

Sounded like a fantastic game. Big props to the pumkinheads.

Been away for awhile...fun to read all posts that fans everywhere are writing. You gotta be a true fan of football and love the game as we all do to hang with D3 ball-never  'nuff recognition.Anyway, attended the Bart-U game yesterday.Holy cow! Maybe the best LL game witnessed by many. You could write all day about the game and the list of records broken.Hat's off to the Statesmen!Pre-game stretching turned ugly w/Union players starting crap...war is hell.Although the score may reflect differently, Hobart piled up a boatload of yardage-788 or so!Only big plays really hurt the "D" but we're young and had starters out.BTW...spoke with some players after the win and we were talking shop about the season and remarked that SJF JV v. 'Bart was cancelled due to SJF d-bags trashing the new visitors locker room.Unfortunately our younger guys lose out on a game 'cuz their peers don't know how to act.Don't come back to Geneva-there's some pissed off people who want to see you -you freakin' dirtbags.Coaches should be proud of these actions.Or maybe the coaches are dirtbags too and don't care to DISCIPLINE anyone. Just thought I'd share this w/everyone.Appearances aren't everything!
Geez Ward, don`t you think you were a little rough on the Beaver last night?

theoriginalupstate

Define the word "Trash"...

Did they not pick up after themselves or did they crap in the lockers?

It sounds like the "younger guys" are losing out on a game because Hobart cancelled the game.

That would be unfortunate if true, but relax, it's only stuff.  I'd be shocked if Coach Cragg cancelled a game over that rather than speak with Vos (we were playing SJF in Cragg's early years when I was there), there's a very healthy respect there I believe.  That being said, if it's true, you better watch out Upstate, Booby, et al because I'm coming up to Pittsford and dropping "double deckers" in all your bathrooms in all academics areas after eating nothing but mexican and canned hame from CVS for a month!
