Three words:

SIX

THREE

ENDICOTT.

Actually it was 6-3 RPI.  1 more W than U all have.

The last word wasn't the winner.  It was the team involved.  When it's 6-3, should it matter who won when the third word is Endicott?  ENDICOTT?!  REALLY?!?!?!  They don't even know what a blow-up doll is, for ish's sake!

Hey, you said it -- at least U89, Doid, Dlip and I still banter about Union.

Senor RT, Regulator, 'gro, AppleJack, RedSwarm (except on game days) -- they must be at '86 remembering the good 'ol days still and wetting down the field for Union running backs they think might play this weekend...

To celebrate Shoes Week, let me quickly run through the LL Playoff scenarios:

St. Lawrence - A win vs. WPI or Rochester will give the Saints the Pool A bid.

Hobart - St. Lawrence must lose twice, and Hobart must beat WPI, RPI and Rochester.

RPI - St. Lawrence must lose twice, Hobart must beat WPI and Rochester and RPI must run the table... Oh, screw that last part.  RPI's eliminated.  It's science.

On another note, when's the last time Shoes has been more meaningless? Or maybe, is it more important this year, because it's the only thing either team has left to play for. Thoughts?

Honestly, I've never been so pumped about a Shoes game in my 16 seasons of commentating.  I'm being 100% serious.  Sometimes adversity helps you refocus a bit and reminds you not to take a game like this for granted.

dlip concurs, at this point the Shoes game is really all about pride, braggin rights, and self respect. If Union can go into the massive empty concrete hole and get a win in front of 18 RPI fans it will really be a high point for the season. it may just propel the Dutch into winning out...hopefully.

I just got a photo in from the last RPI home game this season.  This was deep in the third quarter:

Everyone knows that can't be RPI' field, there is at least one women in the pic, not sure about the other being.
