I saw this NFL story today and it made me think of you guys, for some reason. :)

Raiders Ford has more than ...

LOL...nice one guru...have to been on this board for a couple of years to get it

Reminds JT of something that happened to JT's Dad.  Dad is a Pennsylvania Military grad (now Widener).  Widener scheduled a regular season game against Rowan a few years ago.  We went.

We ran into a Widener player's Dad in the parking lot.  The kid was a sophomore WR 5' 9" and 180lb.  Dad proudly said that kid ran a 4.25 40.  I guess most people went WOW!!!

JT's Dad: What is he doing at Widener if he runs a 4.25?

Player's Dad harrumphed away.

JT Dad to JT:  It was an obvious question.  A 4.25 is DI stuff.  You'd think someone would have asked before me.

Anyway the 4.25 kid didn't start.  He was on the punt team.  No way was he close to a 4.25.  Decent player, but not great.

Just had the digits out of order....5.24.   ::)

Maybe his stopwatch ran in US Dollar-to-Euro conversion.

Cool story, especially apropo on Veterans Day. Sounds like a great coach, but an even better man. I'll certainly be rooting for them.

As of last check, it is top story on the front page on ESPN.com.

LD, is your avatar pic attempting to assassinate your signature pic?

That is funny and deserves an answer.  LD, can we get an official statement?

RPI and Hobart fans:

A quick reminder that the Union-Springfield game tomorrow could have major ECAC implications for your teams.  Here's a look again at the ECAC eligible team standings at three losses or less:

Cortland State 8-1 (8-1)
Maine Maritime 8-1 (6-1)
Western New England 8-2 (6-1)
Framingham State 8-2 (6-1)
Norwich 8-2 (5-2)
St. John Fisher 8-2 (3-2)
Springfield 7-2 (3-2)
Mount Ida 6-3 (5-2) *
RPI 5-3 (3-2)
Hobart 5-3 (3-2)

Ten teams for six slot exist.  However, if Cortland and Maine Maritime both are selected for the NCAA Tournament, then the Union-Springfield game determines whether there will be 4 or 5 two-loss teams in the ECAC North Bowl pool.  If there are 4, then RPI and Hobart both stand a chance to be selected based on recent common results.  A Springfield win could mean 0 or 1 LL team in the ECACs.

Union's kickoff is at 1:30pm (1:20pm pregame show) on 1160AM WABY-Mechanicville locally, or at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/unionfootball -- the other three LL games should be completed by our halftime.
