In a one-game bowl system, how does it make sense to spread the teams out by seeding? Who cares about being "rewarded" with an easy time? Shouldn't it be 1-2, 3-4, etc., so that WNEC and MME is not the only decent matchup?

Yes, the one and only here.

Are you making the trip to Alliance this weekend?  If so, go post on the OAC board.  The regulars will help you out with any questions you have, and if you are making a weekend trip, the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, is just down the road from Alliance.

Also, the Mount Union Campus Center puts on a decent pre-game buffet for a decent price.

Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately I live in South Carolina, so I won't be able to make the trip.  Fortunately it is still in the low 70's-upper 60's here, so I'll be sitting in shorts while I listen to the game :)

I would love to go to that game.  I actually went up to the SLU-WPI game this weekend.  SLU looked pretty good, and it is nice to see them winning again, and see the small community of Canton really come together and support the Saints.

I already said something a few weeks ago...but what Mark Raymond and his staff have done up there this season is nothing short of amazing, especially due to all of the circumstances involved (Raymond was a very late hire and so was his staff, lost their 2 x 1st Team All-American DT the year before, not making the playoffs in almost 3 decades, and then losing their first 3 games and still finding a way to win the league, etc.)  In my opinion, Coach Raymond should get some very serious consideration for National Coach of the Year.

This weekend could be really, really ugly for SLU...but that won't take away what they accomplished this year as a group.

Let's kick off the week with some support for SLU. Obviously a VERY difficult task for the Saints but dlip will send all the luck and support he has their way. This was an excellent year for the Saints and the coaching staff deserves cudos.

Big ups to Saint Lawrence.  It would be amazing to see David beat Goliath.

Doid23

Actually, I think it would be amazing for David to be within 28 points of Goliath, and to keep them under 60. I would consider that a victory for the Larries.

With all of the debate about bringing Mt. Union to the east, if I'm the Larries I like getting the chance to play them. The Larries should be proud of winning the LL after opening 0-3, and how they won all of the tough games they had to, but they had no realistic chance of going anywhere in the playoffs, no matter who they played. Now at least they get to say that they had the chance to play against the dynasty, the beast, rather than say they lost to Cortland in the playoffs one year. They get to make a long road trip to a stadium with lots of fans, I'm sure it's a great atmosphere.

Getting thumped won't feel good on Saturday, but over the years I'm sure they'll apreciate the experience.

Man, you just can't win against UMU, can you?!?!

Thanks for the support fellas.  The Larries showed that they can play tough against good opponents, but Mount Union is a class above.  Hopefully the red zone defense that has kept SLU in a lot of the close games will continue.

I just did a google maps search on St. Lawrence.  Holy crap......that is UP THERE!  So do the kids go to Ottawa & Montreal for fun?  What is SLU known for, and if I was looking for a college, why would/should SLU be on my radar?

This game will be anti-climatic, but it is interesting in learning about other colleges in the country.

You don't really represent Mount Union or yourself very well.  If I were you, i'd go google something funky and have an anti-climax all over yourself.
