Kirk Douglas was an all-American wrestler at St. Lawrence in the '20s.

'30s actually; my father was there at the same time and Dad was class of '40.

Larry Kehres... did get his first conference championship as the swimming coach despite not knowing how to swim.

LOVE that! +K

Congrats to SLU on making the playoffs. It's always an accomplishment to get there and have the opportunity to play for a championship. It is something that the players and coaches will remember the rest of their lives.

Game time temperature should be around 50 degrees. Safe travels to all who journey to Alliance. It a great old venue to watch a game.

Thanks Shark.  Does UMU provide free webcasts of games for those of us who won't be able to travel to the game?

No video, but audio which can be accessed via the school website.  I would recommed the non-student radio broadcast.

They re-broadcast their games on an Ohio Local TV station (not live) so I think there is a problem with them offering the games via the internet.

I agree though since I am in FL and don't have the ability to watch the games on that Ohio Station.

Since all (or most) of their games are on replay on Fox (?) later that night/next day, maybe they think they don't need streaming video.  I for one sure wish they had it.

Apparently you are out of luck if you do something with your life and move out of Ohio  :P.

skunks_sidekick

Yah....that is frowned upon!   ;D

I have four more years (youngest will graduate from HS), and then I will be making the move at least for the winter.  Now all I have to do is figure out how to do that financially.   :-\

Seriously.  I think half to 3/4 of Ohio moved to Charleston.  There is actually a pretty funny article by one of the local papers about it:

By the way, this is how StLarry will trash talk Mount Union.  It will certainly not have to do with football...

I like it StLarry, I like it a lot. Innovative, keeps them off balance, and I'm not sure how one would go about responding to your line of attack.

Does Mount have a student run TV station?  The path to streaming lies in how robust your Radio/TV/Film major/department is.

Rowan has had streaming home games for two years.  A true blessing for me 120 miles away.
