TGP, how did you miss this one??

Hobart signs Assumption HS standout WR Seymour Kraks

You almost got me with this one, too. The Rev is pretty slow these days.

It's with much regret that I pass along the news that Doug Reeland (ran Hobart Athletics Sports Medicine) lost his battle with cancer today.

RIP Douger.  You were a great Statesman and will be missed.

The Rev is taking this one hard.  I worked for Doug all four years of college and kept in touch with him throughout the years. If it hadn't been for the Dooger, The Rev wouldn't be nearly the man he is today.

The rev will attempt a fitting obituary when I'm able to compose myself long enough to see the keyboard.

Amen - will be a solemn Easter this year.

RIP Douger - pix from 4/16 Hobart-Bellarmine game.  Reeland is flanked by members of the 1981 National Champion Hobart Statesmen and their families.

Thx Frank.

On a lighter note, TGP thought this op-ed by NFL commissioner Goodell in today's WSJ was interesting

RIP to a great singer and a very nice lady.
Phoebe Snow did several master classes at NJCU over the years and always had encouragement and good advice for all the musicians not just the vocalists.  She will be missed.

Was flipping channels while getting ready for work.  Why did Prince Charles bring his horse to the wedding?  And why was she wearing a hat?
