Yanks, what does Salve winning the NEFC have to do with their game this weekend (which is where you took the discussion despite my disclaimer)?  That's my issue -- you were extrapolating something I specifically said was not my intent.

Frank, if not for watching them play Union this weekend...why on earth would you say that you would be shocked if they didn't win the NEFC?  Their 6-4 record last year overall?  A close loss to Wick 20-19 in 2010?  Oh, I know...the fact that they have had only win winning season in the last decade!!!

Salve Regina winning the NEFC will have nothing to do with them beating Union this weekend...true...but I am also not the one that said I would be shocked if they didn't win the NEFC this year.  You did...so we are incorrectly inferring that you would be shocked if Salve Regina didn't win the NEFC, because you actually said that "I'd be shocked if Salve doesn't win the NEFC"?

I concede...I was extrapolating...

Reading is fundamental:

"Note:  My statement concerning Salve was made without relative comparison to Union, the Liberty League or any other conference other than the NEFC.  It was made solely to refute LD's assumption that Salve is the 5th best 2011 NEFC team (in what I assume is a slightly exaggerated statement to show he doesn't have faith in Salve).  Salve has now won six games in a row, five of which were league games.  They beat Curry and Plymouth State during that run.  That's my science on this matter."

Honestly Yanks dlip thinks it's time to simmer a bit with the on-Frank attack. dlip is getting a bit tired of the ****ing hammer Frank bandwagon that seems to be going around. dlip loves your posting on this board, and tends to agree with most of your well-thought posts. We need to just remember we all love the same **** and that should take precedence over petty arguments over nothing that have seemed to take over these boards as of late. By the way, after this weekend, after listening to the Union/Salve game, after looking at Salve's six game win streak over the likes of Curry and P-State (good teams in relation to the NEFC), after their well fought win over a not so good Union team that was supposed to be superior to them, and after having a defense ranked in the top 20 last season, dlip thinks it quite legit to make the statement that it would be shocking if Salve did not win a taditionally weak conference in the NEFC.

I always thought Salve Regina was pronounced Ruh-gyn-a, like rhymes with vagina; not Ra-gene-a. Hmmm. Just an observation.

The only people I know who pronounce Regina the lurid and lascivious way are Canadians.

Damn Canadians.

I hear you dlip...and it probably went on too long.  I was generally curious why he thought SR was going to win the NEFC...and Frank does what he normally does, and I took the bait...which is generally why I don't ask him too many questions or respond to him in general.

Like I said early on...maybe SR runs the table...it wouldn't be unheard of...and I don't know enought about them to say it couldn't happen.  It just wouldn't be a surprise...to me...if they didn't...

Either way...I really don't care...if the E8 champ gets the NEFC champ in the first round of the playoffs, no matter who it is I would consider it a lucky break (regardless of Curry's wins in 07 and 08)...

Next time, I'll explain my reasons in pig latin, Yanks, since you just weren't grasping them:

This is not the "hammer Frank bandwagon" speaking or anything, but Frank, after that I never want to hear anything about you not having time for this board ever again!

I never said I didn't have time for you guys.  Just sometimes, I can lose my desire to post here.

I can imagine it gets tiring constantly being part of long, seemingly neverending arguments with various posters and some admins  :P

To put it lightly, this will be a rough weekend for many of us.  For me, it's out to Andover, MA for services to pay tribute to my fraternity brother that passed away last week, Seth Kline.  Saturday, I head back and through Schenectady to head to Utica for the Union/Utica game.  On Sunday, we face the 10th anniversary of 9/11.  As a New Yorker that has lived in NYC for just 3 weeks more than 10 years, I've always lived in the shadows of 9/11 during my time in the City.  It still hurts.  It still makes me cry if I watch too much about it.  I still miss the friends lost.

We'll likely play this clip on Sunday's "In the HuddLLe" -- I posted it last year since Union's opener at Ithaca was on 9/11/10 and played it at halftime.  It's one of the greatest moments to this day in our show's history, thanks to former WPI Head Coach Ed Zaloom.

Frank, make sure you stop over in North Andover at Harrison's and grab a LARGE BEEF SAUCE MAYO CHEESE!  LARGE KOOL-AID!  Might make a rough weekend a little better.
