A big day for the Dutchmen on Saturday. Basically a playoff game, not because it matters (non-LL game, no ECAC and no NCAA pool C), but because it matters (6-4 season, improvement from last year as well as from the beginning of the season, etc.). And in the highly unlikely event that Hobart losses to UofR, then it would be important to go into the NCAA's with some momentum.

I think that Union will be the underdog in this game, and I don't think that they will win. But I am hoping that even if they don't win, that they are competitive.

What's you favorite?  Mine is 'Pink Jello Box'.

Laughed out loud at Silk Barnacle, so I have to go with that.

Defense anyone? Not at Frank Bailey. 30-22 Union at half. Dlip will say union's D is tackling hard and swarming the ball with intensity. Regardless of the outcome here today at Union yhis is a very different team than the one that started the season. Dlip is very proud to be a union fb fan!

Thanks for the update dlip. I'll take a 30-22 halftime score.

Springfield d coordinator just told his entire defense to take aNY union offensive players' knee out. The entire hill heard it. Not good!

Hobart just won 24-10 in a hair pulling game.  Very sloppy, very little offense, Strang benched in the 1st half, Webb 2x fumbles, but the Defense scored all the points (safety and taint by Hearon) in the second half.  Rochester played really tough all day, sweat filled game.

Congrats to the team to gutting a really messy one out on the road to clinch the title and bring the team back to the playoffs since the senior's, freshman year.  Particularly point out to Drake Woodard and Reggie Robinson for both stepping up, providing the senior leadership they needed and both playing great games.

I was saying the same thing. However, Hobart got the win and a win is a win.  I can not wait to see them in the playoffs. Going to be interesting to see who they get match up against. Congrats to those players for playing tough all season.

With Hobart ahead at the half, The Rev had to go to bed. It was after 3a.m. here. First thing Rev did upon waking was check the score. Glad Hobart won. It was ugly, but they did it. When The Rev was at Hobart our D was unbelievable on the good end of the spectrum, and our O was unbelievable...but on the awful end of the spectrum. Looks like Hobart's D really saved their bacon again. Robinson is awesome.

The Rev wishes Hobart a quick recovery and that they can play their hearts out in the playoffs. The rev is praying for a second round.

Funny.  Im hapoy that they got back to the playoffs for the first time since 08, but I like their atreak agaianst AU too which goes back to at least the mid 90's.  Oddly, as much as Bart has been a thorn in AU's side for a whule, Rochester (which is a rivalry game 40,minutes down the road that's been played more than a hundred times, Rochester's had a knack for throwing randomw losses on Bart (2000, 2003, last year) or been tough games (2008).

Good luck to the Hobart Statesmen in their match-up with Wesley. Wesley is a ****ing big time team, and dlip would like nothing more than to see Bart take them down. The pumkins are going to have to play better than they have of late though, or this one may get ugly.

Kaz, Kaz, Kaz. I guess Pep is the nice Alfred poster. Anyone else, fair shot. But from the E8? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Or maybe the LL should import Wesley, since that's the only reason the E8 is getting any respect (with Salisbury). Go Pumpkins!

Very nice win for the Dutchmen. Given where they started the season (and ended last year),this is a very good 6-4 season. They should be very proud of their work. Well done boys.
