Congrats to the team to gutting a really messy one out on the road to clinch the title and bring the team back to the playoffs since the senior's, freshman year.

Wait, when did the NESCAC start sending a team to the tournament?!?

Kaz, Kaz, Kaz. I guess Pep is the nice Alfred poster. Anyone else, fair shot. But from the E8? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Or maybe the LL should import Wesley, since that's the only reason the E8 is getting any respect (with Salisbury). Go Pumpkins!

The E8 was ranked like the 6th best conference before Salisbury even got there.  Plus I don't think you even got the joke he was implying.  Hobart played 8 games like the NESCAC does.

Yeah, I was taking a little shot at the 8 game schedule.  Truthfully, I am glad Hobart is the LL rep and I wish there were more games between Hobart and Alfred.

+K to pg for his efforts.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

It's a good joke (I'd like to see US News have us ranked in the NESCAC territory though), although seems as though everyone's taking shots and I hate it for the kids currently playing.  They have to deal with the worst AD outside of Penn St in the country.

Are there any LL schools in or around the Boston area?

I'm trying to collect something from each DIII football program. My wife might be headed out that way next weekend, and I might have her stop and pick something up for me?

Much appreicated!!

WPI (Worcester Polytechnic Institute) is probably the closes in Worcester, Mass.  Still a good hour west of Boston though.

Let's hope that the Pumpkin's return to their early season form, and shock the world with a win over Wesley. It would be a great win for Bart, the LL and the East in general.

Offense is decimated -- top 3 receivers are hurt or out.  Strang is suffering from a concussion -- hope he gets cleared, but who knows?  I'd keep expectations pretty low here based on some of these unfortunate late-season issues.

Really about the same as 2008.  Excellent defense, probably a better offense when healthy this year, but in 08 we had lost our starting RB, TE's (Duliba, who was a very good receiver, and Degan) and Tyler Vincent (#1 WR) and Doyle (QB were injured) by the RPI game (2nd to last game of regular season).  Doyle and Vincent played against Lyco and Mt Union, the other two were done.  D put up a good battle, but Mt Union just totally pounded them down with Kmic as the O couldn't stay on the field enough.

Only way they could pull it off, IMO, is win the +/-, win the penalty portion of the game (both yardage and timliness), have a good game out of Strang, and get pressure w/o too much all out blitzing (i.e. Wilcoxin, Contro, Coleman and Worthington) and keeping contain.  Not completely out of the question, but it's a lot of things that would need to happen.  Either way, these seniors will have gotten road playoff games vs. Mt Union and this Wesley team.  Hopefully more.

BTW, anyone notice the LL awards came out?  Hermann OPOY, Worthington DPOY, Coleman ROY, Cragg COY.  Hermann won it on the Hobart game pure and simple, but I would've picked Gallo for OPOY and as good as Worthington was this year, Coleman probably deserved DPOY & ROY, but I'm guessing they just wouldn't do that the way they like to spread the awards around (a little too much sometimes it seems w/all the co weekly award winners).

Hobart-Wesley game notes are out.  http://hwsathletics.com/documents/2011/11/18/2011-1119_Wesley_Notes.pdf

They've been known to be incorrect, but have Olney listed at starting QB.  (and have Strang as the holder, so who knows)

Stayed up (2am in Korea) to listen to the Hobart-Wesley game. Heard Hobart's first drive and that was enough. Good night. The Rev is going to sleep.

Nice effort by Hobart!  I was hoping they'd come down with the victory!

Rev, seriously, you're letting your emotions get the best of you.  It was, if it's possible to call a game this, the best loss I've ever seen for your team.  It's as close to a moral victory as you can get with guys like wesleydad having suggested Hobart didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.  Hats off to your team.

So...this was pretty accurate.

Great effort by Hobart today. You made the LL proud! Dlip is very pleased you were the LL's representative!
