JT

I'll start.

Sunday sauce is on (Saturday).  House is smelling good.  Still on a quest to recreate the best sauce and meatballs JT's ever had.  JT's childhood best friend's Grandma was the old lady from Goodfellas for real, always cooking.  Unfortunately, she died with the recipes in her head.  JT's getting close.  Closer than his best friend... but still tweaking.

Knightstalker

A friend just sent me this, pretty entertaining.  All the music is done with ipads and smartphones.

Beisboll post, Congratulations to Barry Larkin on his election to Cooperstown.  He is definitely worthy of going in with Ron Santo.  19 years with the same team says a lot about him.

Wow, this place is quiet....

Keep it down. There are people trying to sleep here.

dlippiel

All dlip can say is he misses football season, D3 football season that is. Well, it'll be comin around the mountain before we know it.

TheGrove

dlip, you're making TheGrove sad, because you're reminding her that she will pretty much miss football season from here on out. Mr. TheGrove got a new job in Scranton, so we are leaving the 'grove. In fact, I just resigned my coaching job today.  :'(

'Spose I could trek down to Wilkes now and again, but they're no Susquehanna. I won't be that far away, but I certainly won't get to games as often.

WOW... enjoy.

I don't think Gallo has the goods to go NFL, but he is one of the top 2 or 3 WRs in upstate over the last 10 years that I saw.

And someone is asking about LD?  He is on vacation down in the islands.  Here is a clip of him right here:

Ahh, doesn't have the 'goods', compelling stuff. I witnessed him once live and knew there would be interest at the end of his year. After seeing his highlight film I am only further convinced that he will have his shot. Speed, size, catches everything with his hands, awareness, acceleration, a man amongst boys. I am excited to hear more about this young man. Any other east region players capable of playing after college?

AU's stud linebacker and all-time leading tackler Nick Clark has had lots of NFL scouts looking....and was invited to visit the Dallas Cowboys for a closer look. As reported in Pep Talk in late November: Extra Points: AU senior linebacker Nick Clark (Canisteo), AU's all-time leading tackler (377 career tackles) and two-time Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year, is getting some attention from NFL scouts. The four-year starter and 2011 D3football.com Preseason All-American has had talents scouts from the Cardinals, Jets, Seahawks, Browns, Eagles and 49ers visit him on the AU campus. Seven other teams have asked for game tapes ...

Clark, son of Tony Clark and AU Prof Theresa Gunn, is a local kid, having graduated from Canisteo-Greenwood Central School. Went to UNC-Greensboro on a D1 wrestling scholarship out of high school but, after a year, came back home and transferred to Alfred to play football, where he's been a four-year starter.

Pep wishes him the best in his pursuits. He's got a lot going for him and is worthy of a shot!

For the record he is one of the best WR's to come out of the east the in recent history, but I disagree completely with the bolded part and I think that's what is going to keep him from playing at the next level.

He's very talented and skilled however he's not very physical. From that video he went down on first contact nearly all the time and if you can't dominate physically at D3 you got no shot at making it in the NFL.
