What in the lords name is going on in Troy. Granted, the interim coach got a better opportunity for him and his family (if it is indeed better) but goodness. Also, this quote from the main page is interesting to dlip:

"Rensselaer, which posted a 4-5 record in 2011, including 3-3 in the Liberty League, will still conduct a national search for a head football coach at the conclusion of the season."

dlip guesses stability and confidence may not be what they are looking for. Maybe the new teacher evaluation system has inspired RPI to keep their HFBC on the hotseat with the promise of a "national search" after the season concludes.  8-)

I thought I have at least heard of every single college football program in the country, d1, d1-AA, d2, and d3 (even some NAIA schools I know).  But I have never heard Division II Alderson-Broaddus in West Virginia.

Never mind, its a first year program.

No matter what the situation, we've now had 4 head coaches in 15 months, and no matter what school, program, etc etc etc, you belong to, that is a lot.  Gonna be tough for this program to get back on it's feet without stability.

Technically, 5 (King, Surace, Landis, Falbo & Bodor).  I wish they had retained Surace -- he was a good fit.  However, Bodor has promise to make the RPI program work.

Bodor comes along with extensive D3 coaching experience at Colorado College prior to the school eliminating the program due to budgetary reasons.  He is an apt coach, and I wish him well as the team looks to bounce back from a transitional year last year.

Should have gone with him in the first place.

I added the "still" since it was the same wording RPI used in the previous story.

Had a funny LL moment yesterday.  Was looking at some comps to a house I was thinking about bidding on yesterday and one of the houses (just down the street in fact) had a Union Football '91 team pic in one of the rooms.  Dude also went to Fuqua later on.

Any of you cats know Milton Grant III?  Don't worry, I didn't do anything to his house (which is also for sale).  Definitely makes me think the neighborhood should have more of a discount with neighbors like that though.

He had visits w a bunch of  schools  and chose UR . They have a couple of new asst coaches and are bringing in something like 35 players. Anyway thanks for the LL info. Have a great weekend!!

Welcome to the boards! Since the renewal of the UR-AU series during the past few years, Pep has sought such a poster from UR. The Alfred-Rochester series was a treat for Saxon fans as a trip to Fauver Stadium was always fun. A few years back, the UR Pep Band was surprised and pleased to have the AU Pep Band show up for the game. In fact, after Pep had gone to visit with some AU alums, he returned to the stands to find the band surrounded by Yellowjackets. The navy and gold rugby shirted UR band members went out of their way to welcome the Lil Alf musical contingency.

But alas, the series is over for now. Perhaps a future ECAC matchup will rekindle the series as it did in recent history.
Again, welcome to the boards! +K

Pep has done the impossible! Pep has managed to silence the Liberty League boards for nearly TWO WEEKS with his last post. LL posters, the East Region's most active bunch, are paralyzed...by Pep's welcome of a UR poster(?)

This leaves Pep to believe either of two scenarios:
1) Pep is the most thorough poster, leaving nothing uncovered, and no need to respond/nothing to argue.
2) Pep is a disconnected poster whose posts are not worthy of a reply.

Pep is going to spread some love around to see if there remains any life on the LL boards. +K to all!

Go 'Jackets!

Hope your son has as much fun and learns as much as my son did.  He played basketball til he got hurt, graduated in 2011 and works for Mt Hope Family Center, part of the UofR.  Don't know if you're from the area, but we had a great time in Rochester over the years.  Ask if you have any questions!
