Pep has done the impossible! Pep has managed to silence the Liberty League boards for nearly TWO WEEKS with his last post. LL posters, the East Region's most active bunch, are paralyzed...by Pep's welcome of a UR poster(?)

This leaves Pep to believe either of two scenarios:
1) Pep is the most thorough poster, leaving nothing uncovered, and no need to respond/nothing to argue.
2) Pep is a disconnected poster whose posts are not worthy of a reply.

Pep is going to spread some love around to see if there remains any life on the LL boards. +K to all!

I'd say a combination of both, Pep.  A thoroughly disconnected poster  ;D

You'd better... if the LLPP ends up as dead as the Centennial board I won't survive.  ;)

Ok, so i had a few spare minutes and just went through the LL Schedule for 2012.  Here is my very early prediction of records for the season:

Springfield 10-0 (7-0)
Hobart 8-2 (5-2)
Union 8-2 (5-2)
RPI 6-3 (5-2)
WPI 5-5 (3-4)
MMA 4-6 (1-6)
Rochester 2-7 (1-6)
St. Lawrence 2-8 (1-6)

I didn't really make any assumptions prior to looking at the schedules.  I'm not saying Springfield is going to be a powerhouse here, but I think their schedule gives the opportunity for a 10-0 season.  I have Hobart, Union and RPI trading wins in typical round robin fashion.  I expect WPI to be the stronger of the bottom of the pack.  I have no reason for this but I just have an inkling and just think Rochester will be down, St. Lawrence will go back to sucking and I don't expect much from MMA.

Union has what I feel is the toughest OOC, but I think they can avenge the Salve loss from last year, Utica won't be as tough as last year, and Ithaca is expected to be down so they might come out unscathed.  RPI has 2 cupcakes and Alfred.  Springfield has a cake walk OOC schedule.  I also expect Hobart to be good again and will win all of their OOC games and split with RPI and Union.

That's all I got.

Thanks to Lew for getting the LL talk started and hopefully more will join in shortly. In dlip's mind it is going to be a very interesting year in the LL. dlip has the league looking like this:

Hobart OOC:3-0 LL: 6-1 Overall: 9-1

Springfield OOC: 3-0 LL: 6-1 Overall: 9-1

Union OOC: 3-0 LL: 6-1 Overall: 9-1

RPI OOC: 2-0 LL: 4-3 Overall: 6-3

SLU OOC: 1-2 LL: 3-4 Overall: 4-6

MMA OOC: 1-2 LL: 2-5 Overall: 3-7

Rochester OOC: 1-1 LL: 2-7 Overall: 2-7

WPI OOC: 1-2 LL: 0-7 Overall: 1-9

Big OOC Match-Ups:

-WPI/Curry- May give us some info on how good/bad WPI is...or Curry's chances in the NEFC this season.

-SLU/Utica- Will SLU show some life this season? Will Utica be able to defend and find some consistency this year. If not against the Saints than not against anyone!

-U of R/SJF- dip gets his hopes up each year for the Yellow-jackets in this game, but all for not. Gonna be ugly in 2012!

-Hobart/Dickenson- dlip is high on Hobart this season. They must beat Dickinson for dlip to really believe.

-Union/Ithaca- dlip believes the Dutchmen will take their momentum from last season into 2012. He is being a homer here, and even with inexperience at the QB position and a secondary trying to redeem itself, dlip feels the Dutchmen come out 3-0 to start and hand the Bombers a defeat.

-RPI/Alfred- The five times new look Engineers may pull this one out and get some revenge for a very poor loss last year. Call it a hunch but dlip thinks RPI starts to build momentum this season by winning it's first two OOC games. An LL homer dlip may be but an RPI homer he is not!

LL Match-ups

Sept 22- WPI@RPI- In dlip's eyes the Engineers from Troy need this one. They must take the Transit trophy if they are to have a shot at being a contender this season. They will hoist that trophy high on the 22nd.

Sept 29- Springfield@Union- The Pride join the LL in 2012 looking to pay Union back for a tough defeat at Frank Bailey last year. Union has faced this triple option threat a ton and without the likes of graduated QB Josh Carter (who ****ing torched the Dutchmen in 2011) the O won't score enough and the D won't be able to contain the Union run. Union will win this game.

October 6- Springfield@Hobart- As high as dlip is on Hobart he thinks that the Pride will be fired up and provide Bart with the one understandable trip up of the year. The option throws Hobart off it's game here and refocuses the Pumpkin-heads for the remainder of the season. Pride in a close one.

Oct 20- Hobart@RPI- dlip just cannot see Hobart losing this game. He feels they will roll into Troy, close to Halloween, and hammer the Engineers on that gorgeous field of theirs.

October 27- Union@Hobart- The Union homer picks the Pumpkin-heads out in Geneva. Hobart will be very focused and intent on not letting the Dutchmen steal their season. dlip believes that home field is the difference here and goes with Hobart.

November 10- Union@RPI- This game used to be the end all be all for dlip. Yet since his recent non-hatred of RPI and actual support of their program, he really doesn't get as pumped up as he used to for the Shoes. None the less, the game still holds water to dlip and the rivalry is fantastic for college football as a whole. Union goes to Troy and takes the Shoes in a close game in which both teams show a ton of heart and character.

Just some thoughts here. dlip is sure some will change as the season gets closer and he is able to get more info on team specifics and see these LL teams play in person. dlip is very ****ing excited for the 2011 season!

Good rundown dlip. Wish I had more to offer, but I'm out of the loop. All I know is that Hobart really seems to have had a banner year for recruiting. Hope that translates into more playoff time.

Thanks to Lew for getting the LL talk started and hopefully more will join in shortly. In dlip's mind it is going to be a very interesting year in the LL. dlip has the league looking like this:

Hobart OOC:3-0 LL: 6-1 Overall: 9-1

Springfield OOC: 3-0 LL: 6-1 Overall: 9-1

Union OOC: 3-0 LL: 6-1 Overall: 9-1

So who receives the automatic bid, how does the LL decide if there is a three-way tie?

A good question SUADC, one dlip admittedly should, but does not know the answer too. In this scenario dlip has Springfield defeating Hobart in Geneva, Hobart defeating Union in Geneva, and Union defeating Springfield in Shocktown. These defeats represent each teams' only loss on the year. If this happens, and dlip obviously believes it is realistic to believe it may, then who would receive the auto? Frank, Lew, Pat, anyone?

I'm pretty pumped that my alma mater is opening the season in the East Region this year at #11 SJF.  TMC is loaded at the skill positions and returns 3 starting OL.  I think the initial 20 ranking is low for the Saints, but they get a chance in week 1 to prove people wrong.

It would be a head to head and if each teams loss were to one of the other top 3 teams(i.e. - Union beats Springfield, Hobart beats Union, Springfield beats Hobart), i'm not sure.  Maybe goes overall record, then in-region record, then coin flip?  Can't find it anywhere.

Hey SaintsFAN...Pep believes you'll find lots of posters to chat with over on the E8 board where the Cardinal posters nest. Given AU's first week bye and the 6 p.m. start, Pep may follow up "Band Camp" with a trip to the ROC to see your Saints challenge SJF at Growney. Will you be making the trip?

We are talking about taking an RV up (myself and some old teammates).  We'll see... If that happens, I'm in.  I'll know more by the middle of August.

I'm really looking forward to Fisher opening up vs some great out of conference teams like TMC & WJ who are the PAC's top two teams...

Fisher is bringing back three 5th year SRs on D with Benderski (DL-6'6",325), Leavell (LB-6'2", 200) and Burdick (S- 5'10", 190) to go along with their returning All American CB in Sant...

If you want to bring this over to the E8 boards I'm sure it will get more discussion...
