dlip previewed the U of R/Union game on his blog if anyone is interested in a bit of a breakdown.

Hobart defeats RPI 35-24. It'll be close for a bit but Hobart will pull away.

From your keyboard to God's eyes, dlip. We need this win in a big way.

Good luck to Union. U of R can surprise sometimes. Don't let your boys get caught with their pants down.

I'm off to Hawaii on Sunday. First time in the USA since October 2010. I'm trying to think of things I need to buy while I'm home, but I'm drawing a blank.

Well, since it's a slow week, thought I'd let my LLPP friends know that there will be a little Grovelet come April!

LL schools will be acceptable for the Grovelet to attend as long as ya'lls tuition doesn't break me.  ;D At this point, I'm not sure we'll be able to afford Susquehanna by then.
Congratulations, Grove.

I'm already scheming to get Li'l Rev into one of the service academies because there is no way I could afford to send him to Hobart unless I got a job there.

Congrats to Hobart on a big win! I forget what PA called me the other week when I said they had yet to impress, but I am impressed with this big win in a rivalry game. Keep it going!

It's tough for the rev being on the other side of the earth. I want to stay up to listen or each live stats, but I had to go to bed just prior to kick off. It was great to wake up to see a definitive victory. I would have been happy with a win by a single point, but 35-7 really speaks about this 2012 team. Great team. I hope now that the Statesmen have put away RPi, they have the focus and discipline to immediately put that in the memory hole and practice like crazy for the Union game.  Union is another team that guarantees and exciting game and keeps the rev's blood pressure high.

ITH radio

You got that right Rev.  Not surprisingly the bulk of the show tonight will be recapping the big Hobart and Union wins and discussing the upcoming (de facto LL title?) game this Saturday in Geneva (which James and Frank will be attending in person, the former who will be performing the national anthem before kickoff).

We will be chatting with both Hobart and Union players as well as a potential visit with USMMA's HC Mike Toop live tonight at 7:30 @ www.inthehuddlle.com

I went back and checked all my posts and I definitely called you out for a clear hypocrisy (calling a Hobart poster out, no matter how crass, for their schedule, yet implicitly and explicitly by vote in ERP not doing the same for the SJF schedule to date), but didn't actually call you anything by name.  You can click on poster posts to check, but I definitely didn't and wouldn't call a person names.  It's one thing to label behavior, but it's diffent, in a very existential sense to label one based on behavior.

At the end of the day, all I care about is Hobart running the table. Anything else is silly.  Them being a real contender is something I as a homer believes in, but until they can put down an Wabash, N Central, Cal Lutheran team in the 2nd, 3rd round it's all just subject to a lot of speculaton.

I don't vote in the fan poll. I also do not believe my assessment was way off base as you seemed to believe given the information we had when I made it.

Very much looking forward to being in attendance for the Hobart-Union / LL title game this Saturday.  A {Hobart} game preview is up at http://gohobart.blogspot.com and another {Union} one should be on http://dlipthedutchman.blogspot.com soon.

Other than that it's SLU vs. WPI with both teams looking to notch their first LL win of the year.

Sunday we'll have former NFL CB Wade Davis to discuss his path to the NFL, his recent coming out and the state of homosexuality in sports.  We are scheduled to have K-Mack join us as well to chat with Wade and discuss his and Pat's ATN regional pronostications as the NCAA is about a week out from releasing their first official rankings.

Player and coach interviews, recaps of the games and picks for the following week coming up Sunday.

It's Saturday morning in Korea, giving me the next 16 hours to fret before kick off.
Chances are The Rev won't stay up for this game even though it is important. (Unless Li'l Rev wakes me up in the middle of the night.)

I think Hobart will win, perhaps not as handily as against RPI, but a win nonetheless.

How's the weather? I keep reading friends on Facebook hurrying to remove deck furniture. What's up in central New York?

DOOM APPROACHETH!!!!

Hurricane + massive wintry front = "Frankenstorm"...

(PS - thanks for the congrats. dlip too.)  ;D

tough second half by Union, yet Hobart prevailed 42-34.

Thanks to my mother-in-law for waking me up.

That was a nice shootout in the 2nd half. Hobart continues to do what it needs to do. I wish they could somehow get a #1 seed but it seems improbable.

dlippiel

Dlip is a very proud Union fan right now. He will blog about this game thoroughly before the weekend ends. Congrats to Hobart, they are one heck of a team, something special. Dlip just can't express the pride though in Union's never give up play. To dlio this is a special group of guys. Great Job U!!

mattvsmith

Well Hobart is ranked with a single digit for the first time ever.
Interesting.
The pressure is really on now to make it to/through three rounds of playoffs.
I think a very high seed is well-earned.

Of course it is still too early. St Lawrnce really boned our season with an upset, and Rochester can also surprise from time to time. I hope the Statesment keep their focus and go 10-0 this year. That would make The Rev a very happy man.

Imagine, too, what this season can mean for recruiting. Wow.
