No U of R posts ? Well here goes..
HC Scott Greene entering his 8th year with basically nothing to show but losing records. His first 2 seasons he won..
but last 5 seasons all sub .500. Zero improvement.
Is U of R in love with this guy because he played in the NFL years ago as a FB ? No expectations there ? Largest employer in the Rochester area. They must have money. Cheesy website doesn't say what assistant coaches coach..so hard to tell about coordinators. Looks basically like young, unproven guys. Don't even know if Greene was ever a coordinator himself..just a LB coach.
Most recruits probably never heard of him..yet administration must be enamored with him to keep him on with that record.  Maybe their facilities are not that great ??   Their hoops teams can win.why not football ? Not asking a ton here..just one winning record ..one 5-5 or 6-4 season. Sheesh.

UofR has struggled with injuries in prior seasons.  They have a strong roster coming back and I think anything less than a 6 win season with this group would be a disappointment.

QB Dean Kennedy is the real deal and they are loaded at receiver and TE.  OL and DL is solid.  Last season both the O and D stunk establishing and stopping the run.  If they can fix that, it'll be a different story for the Jackets.

Their early schedule is favorable too, although Galladet is far from a guaranteed win.  Still, if things break their way, I could see a 5-1 UofR team heading to Union in late Oct.

U of R has always baffled dlip. It seems every time he has talked them up because of a solid win or competitive performance in the past it just doesn't pan out for them. The running game will be the question here and will it do enough to compliment the air attack? Dlip likes Kennedy and the weapons he has coming back. Dlip also thinks the Yellow jacket D will be decent. For them it will be a question of putting it all together enough to find the consistency to win inside the league? Dlip will really need to see it to buy into a finish fourth or higher this season.

dlip agrees that this board has lost some great posters. When dlip arrived on the LLPP (whenever that was???) this board was on fire! It has definitely died down. Dlip loves the LLPP A TON and those on it. He hopes to be here for quite some time. We used to joke about how many more posts we had than the E8 board. That is no longer the case. Now dlip really considers himself part of the entire east board as well as specifically the LLPP. Great posters all over...even some ****in HUGE ones :)
I'd like to see a "where are they now" episode of the following posters:

Holladawg
Gro
Zachattack 22
Reg
Senor Red Tackle
NakedNottRun
Reno Hightower
Garnet
Krazy Krazy
Applejack

I used to read this board almost every day and laugh...I'd like to see an alumni day, especially for Union/RPI week...

I know where a handful of them are and it's nothing exciting.  Holladawg is the biggest mystery in the history of LLPP however.

To be fair, yourself, Utes, Rev, and a few others still active were as important to that LLPP era, as those listed avove, even  posters from other boards such as JT, Knightstalker, Kilted Rat and even (I hate to say it) Touchdown Tommy added alot to those conversations.

More recruiting is needed to get the next generation of ex D3 players on the boards and adding their own frivolity to the mix...

I'm pretty sure Gro, Reg and Myself were early patriots of this site as far back as 1999.  It was a way of life for a while.  Then some got all growds up and boring, while others, like myself, still enjoy a little football/ballyhoo chatter.

At 7:48 EST the Union College Football Dutchmen were spotted practicing in helmets and no pads on Frank Bailey field on the campus of Union College. This is dlip's favorite LLPP post since November 10th of last year.

IT'S HERE!

Hey, this board is more lively than the Centennial's, which is why I still come in to play. Plus, I like you guys. ;D

Kickoff 2013 is live!

I feel like this is our best Kickoff yet: We made a nice transition to the PrestoSports platform for Kickoff last year and this year we've taken that knowledge and tweaked it. Plus we got some new writers involved and really made sure our continuing writers elevated their game. And ours.

This is the only time we ask you guys for money for anything, as I'm sure you realize. It's more than 300 pages of Division III preseason football knowledge and it's the only place you can get all this stuff: Our previews, our rankings, Keith's analysis, the whole 10 yards. http://www.d3football.com/notables/2013/08/get-kickoff-2013

$11, or $7 if you still have access to a .edu email address. (Meant for active players/students and coaches but hey, we know you guys on this board are loyal to D3football.com and we appreciate it.)

Good read.  Union fans will probably disagree with the prediction for their team, but time will tell.
