An E8 team should suffer no criticism for lousy OOC scheduling IMO, because they get enough difficult games in conference play. What passes for a "tough" OOC game for a LL team these days (Ithaca, Alfred, or Utica), an E8 team sees as "The easy part of the season where we don't have to play Fisher or Salisbury, thank God." Hartwick could play three high school teams OOC for all I care—they're still playing four games in the regular season tougher than anything Hobart will see.

Despite that, E8 teams frequently do schedule good teams OOC. I'm pretty sure Fisher would play Michigan State if they were allowed to.

Honestly though, outside of Hobart, I don't have a huge problem with LL scheduling. Not everyone believes the Fisher route is right for them. Scheduling is a tricky balance. Look at Buff State in the early 2000s for what happens when you're too ambitious. If you want to schedule winnable games, go for it. But then don't expect a 14-8 OOC record to go unexamined.

No RULE prevents them from doing so - though Dantonio and whoever is currently their AD might say NO WAY.

Okay, but you get my point. Fisher gives exactly zero ****s how good you are or what will happen to their record. They'll go wherever they need to, and play whoever wants a piece of them (Sort of like Ithaca back in the day), Hobart just throws 10...or 9...or 8...uninspiring games on their schedule, and hey look, we're in the playoffs! That's why Fisher's awesome and Hobart isn't

Perhaps. But I respect any program that wants to play the best. That's why I (and lots of Ithaca people in the 80s/90s) hated Union back in the day, and that's why I roll my eyes at Hobart's scheduling while applauding Fisher's.

I sh*t you not, folks... I just pulled into my gym's parking lot -- there's a car here with NY plates: "IAMHUGE"

I can now die in peace.

This kid is insane! He doesn't break tackles, he just breaks the tackler. That kid is like a tank in a sea of Huffy bikes. Can somebody please tell me that we have offered him already? If we haven't, can we all just pray that he goes to a team that UK will never play? I don't want him to have the chance to hit some of our guys like that. I mean, the D started with 11 guys and ended the play with 8.

I believe he did go to a team that UK will never play, so at least that came true.

Quick RPI/MMA update at the half - 31-7 RPI.  Real simple from the video feed, RPI looks pretty darn good, MMA looks terrible.  MMA runs a HS offense with no athletes.  Their TD was a blown call which should have been an incomplete pass, instead they called it a fumble and MMA recovered it in the endzone.  Should be a shutout.  RPI should win by 50+.

Good thing Fisher didn't play Michigan State today.
