I laughed at the weather comments. Hobart probably has the worst weather conditions in the East, and it seems like it is always cold and nasty. And way back when, you add in the natural grass and it was legitimately like playing on a field of 6 inch deep mud. The weather will NOT be a reason if Hobart loses today.

Maybe the Wesley QB adapts really well to the weather, but Hobart doesn't know the difference.

Good luck today Hobart! Go ****in get'um!

Meant to mention this last week, the Hobart play-by-play guy is pretty good, but the color guy needs a few cups of coffee and some happy pills. He is one grumpy sounding dude.

Someone needs to force silence on the woman Wesley fan who thinks she's Mariah Carey.

Good end to a great season Hobart. You should all be proud, it was a closer game than the score would indicate.

Now Wesley go win a national championship!

Congrats to Hobart on a good year. You guys were starting to make me a little uncomfortable after the fake punt :) You have a good team and much to be proud of. Please send all positive karma our way as we take on our nemesis from Ohio!

Absolutely!  Well done Hobart on giving Wesley a stiff challenge.  The score doesn't give the game justice.   The Hobart lines were really tough today and you have a lot to be proud of!

Coleman (90) was hurt at the end of the game, also Jake Stanley (7), the second leading tackler didn't play at all in the second half. Hobart just ran out of gas. After scoring in the third to bring it to 20-13, I thought they really had the momentum. But a red zone stop by wesley seemed to sway the momentum back to them. Wesley did hold hobart to under 200 yards of offense. But hobart also held wesley to 260 yards through the first 3 quarters until the wheels fell off so to say. Which is pretty impressive considering their offensive production throughout the year (rain was obviously a factor). Tyre Coleman ends his incredible career with Two sacks, a force fumble, a pass break up and SIX TFLs.. I don't know if that stat is correct but he was an absolute beast out there so it wouldn't surprise me. That leaves Coleman with 94.5 TFLs (3rd all time) and 50 sacks (2nd all time). Hats off to him and Hobart for a great and successful season and another step towards the ultimately goal of being an "elite" program.

Excellent game by Hobart today.  They controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball for most of the game.  Wesley was not able to run the ball very well when Coleman was in the game.  He dominated.  Once he left with the injured ankle Wesley was finally able to move the ball on the ground.  I doubt that any team left has a 1 man wrecking crew like him.  Hobart also seemed to be prepared for anything that Wesley was trying to do on offense, kudos to the coaching staff for that.  A definite top 10 team defense and team.  Wesley escaped with the win because their defense was better against a weaker offense, that was the difference in the game.  Finally a good game to watch.  And your fans were really into the game, nice job there too.

It is tough to end it with a loss, but congratulations to one of the great Hobart teams. You gave it your all against a Wesley team that  has the stuff to win it all.  The Hobart seniors had the best four years in the history of the program and we will miss them all :'( Trye Coleman, a special thank you, you left nothing out on the field today :P You all made us proud.  It  is great to be a Statesman.
Good luck to Wesley against Mt. Union and all the way to a  Salem win!

Since this "liberty league" page will soon die until next fall... What's the odds we see Tyre Coleman playing on Sundays next year? Would love to hear big brother Pat Coleman's opinion.

My opinion on what it takes to make the league is not a very informed opinion, just for the record. I am sure he will get a chance somewhere, though, and even if he isn't on an active roster next year, I think he'll have more than one opportunity to get a roster spot. But at 6-1, 258, I don't think he'll be playing DE in the league. He'll have to show he can play linebacker.

My $.02, which is based entirely on previous years' experience watching D-III players try to transition to the NFL.
