It could have been 100-0.

Ali Marpet is getting some attention from the NFL world following prospects in the Senior Bowl:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2296741-2015-nfl-draft-matt-millers-scouting-notebook-for-week-15

"8. Hobart College. Ever heard of it? I hadn't either. It's a tiny liberal arts college in Geneva, New York (and I didn't know where that was until Google helped me). But here's the thing—NFL scouts have been popular at Hobart this fall thanks to offensive tackle Ali Marpet.

Marpet is what makes the draft a truly great event. Small school, no-name player most fans have never heard of, but his skill set and upside are promising enough that he's getting a serious pro look. Serious enough that he's already accepted a Senior Bowl invite.

He'll be a fun player to track in Mobile but what I've seen on some grainy coaches film on what looks like a high school field is a dominant player with pro tools after going the whole season without allowing a sack. "

Not sure if describe the Boz as a high school field but I guess compared to the stadiums in D1 I suppose it's sort of accurate.

Marpet has the look of a pro player, hope he shows well. I'm guessing he'd have to convert to guard vs being s tackle at "only" 310 but time will tell.

You're right. Those h.s. fields, at least, have most D3 stadiums beat hands down...  ;D

Texas HS football is probably power ranked above intercollegiate D3 ;)

Maybe. It probably is more popular in the few Texas towns that share a D3 team... But B-SC wouldn't outdraw a good deal of the Birmingham AL area h.s. teams either, so that could be fairly common.

Tyre Coleman had one hell of a career, great to see he recieved the recognition . Congrats also to Marpet and Smith of the Statesman on All -America recognition. Don't know how Coach Cragg can fill all those shoes . Congrats to Liberty League honorees  Franks of RPI and Simmon of St. Lawrence on their selection as well.

Just checked the latest draft ratings for Ali Marpet, and he is ranked 22 out of all Offensive Linemen for the 2015 draft..45 OL's were drafted in 2014. (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/tracker#dt-tabs:dt-by-position/dt-by-position-input:ol) with a 5.37 rating and fastest 40 dash time for an OL (projected to be at least an NFL"backup") The Senior Bowl will be a big stage as his only documented weakness was his experience playing against lesser competition.  Could be Hobart's first player ever drafted... Good luck in the Senior Bowl.

Reviews and replays of practice will be broadcast on NFL network this week at 3pm. Ali is definitely competing and training hard. I could see him getting picked up in the later rounds of the draft.

Evidently Marpet impressed quite a few teams today, including Atlanta(http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2336623-2015-atlanta-falcons-potential-draft-pick-profile-ol-ali-marpet)..they think he is an eventual NFL starter. After today's practice he is looking like a lock for the draft somewhere in round 5-6. Tyre looked very strong in the Dreambowl video replay, even as an inside DL(??), and Smith looked solid on OL.

Marpet totally impressive at Senior Bowl,  both in pass protection and run plays, made good decisions on blocking options during flow of play.... a couple of mistakes but considering he switched to Guard, totally understandable. He has great feet and hands, plus speed for downfield blocks . He will need  a lot of work to have flexibility to play Center, but if he does, he will be a great utility OL in the NFL. I think he more than accomplished the goal of "belonging", and even looked better than most of the OL at the game. I think draft is a done deal, just what round. Unbelievable
