OK, need to pick early as busy work week before "The Game" on Saturday:

WPI          38             Rochester         17       WPI is a strong squad and will rebound from heartbreaking loss to Hobart

RPI           28             Springfield        24       Hard fought and tight

MMA         35             Union               21       MMA keeps rolling over the waves(sorry no upset for the Dutchmen)

Hobart      31             SLU                 28        This time Hobart needs a last minute interception to fend off the Saints last drive

Record so far is 31-8....I am not good at picking upsets, Hobart over Saints is an obvious homer upset pick, so Saints fans should feel confident...can't wait for the game in Canton....I hope it is a clean win without any controversial calls determining the outcome ....Good luck to both squads...
Final week's picks, 2-2 last week, 33-10 on year:

Hobart            38     Rochester           17
Union              24     RPI                    21
Springfield       35     MMA                  28
SLU                 31     WPI                   24

One Playoff game next week....

Five years ago I never would have imagined I would say this, but I am married to a Dutchwoman now.  So go U!  Grab them shoes!

And my lord, that is an awful building......they are clearly engineers, and not architects.

Thanks Bartman!! Honestly dlip has really come the respect RPI to an extent. He certainly roots for them OOC and feels very strongly that a strong consistent RPI football program is a great thing for the LL. With that said as far as tomorrow goes...****'em. This one means a lot! Let's go U!

Centennial Cup today.....2 years ago Bronson and the Yellow Jackets came back in the second half at the Boz and made the Statesmen sweat out a close win.......so Hobart cannot take this game lightly.....continue the performance shown in Canton and next week we can start our NCAA Playoff season......GO BART

Statesmen making a statement today.  (Well, as much of a statement as may be made against a 1-7 team)

And that statement is "Please don't make us play SJF in the 1st, or Mt. Union in the 2nd round"

Pretty clear that SLU was indeed a bit overrated.  All they've done is give up big plays the last 2 weeks.  Secondary has all but disappeared.

Fisher is getting pushed around, I don't think you'll have to worry about them getting in...
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

And......20 straight points later by UR, I wonder why I ever talk.   Type.  Whatever.

Congratulations to the 2016 Liberty League football champions...the Hobart Statesmen. The team played very well today(except for the 2 quick TDs given up by the second string defense in the 3rd quarter). The Yellow Jackets do have a decent passing game, but the lines were overmatched as Hobart could run the ball pretty much at will today. This Hobart team is ready to play at it's potential now...peaking at just the right time. All kinds of records for Sweeney and Shed.......Brexit, Trump, Mount Union loses the ODAC and the Statesmen go on a win streak to Salem...anything is possible this year ;D

I would not say SLU was overrated. They dominated the teams they should dominate and the incredible air attack of Sweeney and Shed exposed their one major flaw. WPI is a good team as evidenced by the previous three losses by a combined 9 points. A flukey pick six the bounced off of the receivers hands and timely penalties aided the game in being very close.

Congrats to the statesman on the win. I really do not like how they are "co champs" with SLU. Hobart won the head to head tiebreak and should be sole champs. The fact that RPI got rings last year that said LL Champs drives me bananas. Great season - but you did not win your league.

Hoping for a good matchup for Hobart in rd 1 and beyond. A good showing heading into next year when adding Ithaca can be the first step in the right direction for the league. And for the minuscule chance SLU gets in, let's hope it isn't a 3rd trip to Mt Union in 6 years (although MU lost today).

First and foremost congratulations to the Union College seniors on completing their 4 year tenure playing football at Union College. dlip is proud of all of you and wishes you all nothing but the very best. dlip knows it was a tough 4 years on the field but remember that your end was the beginning to something new, something that you helped to create by never giving up and giving your all.

Second, congrats to RPI on the big win today and retaining the shoes for a record fourth year in a row. The RPI O-line dominated the LOS today and after some initial back and forth in the 1st quarter they began to make some big plays. RPI executed on both sides of the ball better than the Dutchmen and clearly deserved the win. Union never gave up and battled but it just was not in the cards. The Dutchmen simply could not run the ball and make first downs today. It was certainly a disappointing loss after the big win last week however when put into perspective in regards to the growth the Dutchmen have made as a program this season, it is tolerable.

Next season is looking very positive for Union. There will be some significant loss on the O-line however some underclassmen showed potential this season. RB Connor Kinzelmann returns along with a maturing receiving core and two potential starting QB's in Dante Cioffi and Nick Cascione. dlip's feeling is that the job will be Cioffi's to lose starting with Fall Ball.

dlip is proud to be a Union fan now and forever. He bleeds Garnet and feels the coaching staff of Behrman, Martin, and Flanders did an outstanding job this season. The U will be back, it's just a matter of time.

Also congrats to the Statesmen on winning the LL and dlip is full ****ing Pumpkinhead starting now!

SLU had a great season and beating WPI today was no easy feat, they are a tough team and were only points away from winning the LL this year. Saints have a great program and should be proud of their season whether they make the playoffs or not. It has become a great rivalry with Hobart the last few years and the Saints program has helped the strength of the LL.

I am hoping the D3football.com forecast is wrong and the committee goes for a one loss team , leaving 2 loss Fisher out(despite win over RRO Olivet),  and then, SLU SOS slight edge over Frostburg gets them in...it is possible...would like to see 2 in from LL
