WEEK 3 LL Predictions:

Last week Picks 6-0, YTD 12-0 ; LL OOC record, Last week 4-2 and 7-5 YTD.

This week has some very interesting games, :

Union       17               Springfield           31                       Springfield running game wears the Dutchies down

Ithaca       24               Alfred                 21                       A total dogfight and could go either way.

Hobart      41               Shenandoah        24                       Game is played despite Florence, as Hobart figures out how to stop Bauserman

RPI           24               Utica                    7                       RPI Offense is still trying to find themselves

SLU            7               Brockport             38                      Saint defense "holds down" Golden Eagles, but offense scores meaningless TD late.

Rochester   28              Alfred State          10                       Coach Martinovich notches his first win

Liberty League goes 4-2 and 11-7 on the year as the OOC schedule continues

A good week for the LL conference as they went 5-1 and are 12-6 OOC YTD( 3 of those losses were to Brockport). Apologies to the Dutchmen fans for going against you , as I went 5-1 on my picks and 17-1 YTD

Week 4 predictions:

Hobart      41        Endicott           21           DeWall gets a grudge win against the ungrateful Gulls supporters, reminding them he is in a better place

RPI           28       Buff State         14           RPI goes to 4-0 with a professional like performance against next year's LL entrant

Union        31       Curry               13          Union keeps rolling and beats a competent yet, mild Curry

Ithaca       30       Fisher              14          Fisher fans call for the firing of the entire Athletic Department

Rochester  28       Emory&Henry   27          The Yellow Jackets pull off a squeaker

Saints       17       Mville               14          Last minute FG for the win

Boldly predicting a 6-0 week for the LL . If Mach beats me I will consume a full bottle of Ron Zacapa Centenario Sistema Solera 15 on Sunday ,my favorite rum , while watching the Giants go 0-3 against the Texans

Please block thiese pages from Fisher fans.  Some of those who have disappeared after 1-2 not good years, used to quit on a weekly/daily basis.  They hear they can come back and get their points, and they cared about it way too much, and you'll have a swarm of fair weather Fisher fans roll back in.

Well Dutch Boy would certainly agree whole-****ing-heartedly that dlip was one of the best contributors ever...however you certainly don't have to be nice to him on here anymore that's for sure.

Just lurkin' and chillin' friend.  Still watching all the games and hoping for a return to some of the glory days.

Shaping up to be an interesting few weeks in the Old LL.   Possibly a 3-1 Hobart getting a 4-0 Union at home.  If Ithaca is that close to Brockport, watch out.  Maybe a shoes game for a bid?

Lot of "ifs" here, and I'm not sure if there is a contender nationally.  But this could be a fun league season.

Poor Fisher.  Can't believe I just said that, but whatever. Over/under on wins this year at 2...
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Jury is still out on Fisher for this year.  They lost pretty badly the first week, but W&J also looks to be fairly strong this year.  Ithaca this week will be interesting, especially with Fisher coming off back-to-back bye weeks.

I expect Ithaca will win convincingly as their defense looks legit and Fisher's offense was a mess the only time they played this year.  But I still won't call Fisher's season a complete waste if they start 0-2 against two top 25 caliber teams.

*Edit - I guess they play Brockport in their 3rd game.  Soooo I won't call Fisher's season a complete waste if they start 0-3 against three top 25 caliber teams.

I feel for you Booby and the rest of the Fisher fans. As a Union fan I watched helplessly with despair as the once formative Dutchmen slid farther and farther down the slide of football mediocrity. For that 2015, 0-10 Union squad nothing seemed right as week after week they found different ways to lose. I became more and more convinced a coaching change was the only thing that would/could make a difference. Union's administration made the difficult call to relieve a "legend" coach and start over. Sometimes that works , sometimes not. For Union the change has reaped results bordering on spectacular.  I am thankful. ;)

Booby, the E8 schedule provides Fisher with a quality opponent every week. Last year the Cardinals started 0-5 before upsetting Utica and Cortland. An upset or two this year will help to set your mind straight but even if you go 0-10 in D3 football your fortunes can change as quickly as that next recruiting class. Good luck to the Cardinals.

Kind words my dude, and nice perspective.  +k to you.

Personally i'm not as gung-ho about a coaching overhaul.  There are some posters on here that are adamant about it.  I do think it would be fresh and maybe a jolt to the program that could help turn things around.  But there are no guarantees, to state the obvious.

Anyways, hoping for a fun game this weekend against the now LL Ithaca.  I'm excited to see how Fisher responds from their first game.
