Week 4 picks

Hobart - 42
Endicott - 20

Pumpkinheads O is just too strong for an average NE team.

Morrisville - 20
St Lawrence - 14

Saints match up well but lose the turnover battle.

Union - 32
Curry - 7

Dutchmen are a well coached, complete team.

RPI - 24
Buff st - 14

praying I'm right as I would love to see them undefeated when they come to south hill.

Ithaca - 38
Fisher - 7

2 weeks off for fisher spells big trouble. Ithaca takes advantage of flat fisher team and runs away with a big win. Gladney is back this week and I think it sparks the O. ROLL BOMBERS !!

Rochester - 14
Emory & Henry - 31

Who cares ?

Just watched it on the Facebook feed.  Nice job.  Thanks for asking about the schedule.  From what I gather, Ithaca loses Brockport in 2019 and 2020, Adds Buff State in those years.  Adds John Carrol in 2020 and 2021 (losing St. Vincent after 2019) with the possibility of adding them for further years.  Alfred or SJF is going off the schedule after 2020 when Brockport goes back on for those years.

Good stuff.

Appreciate it! We posted our interview with Bellamy and Reilly from Union earlier today. Bit of a LL-heavy week interview wise, but 9/24 is the 10th anniversary of ITH. Had to throw back to where we started ;)

Thanks to Frank and JB of ITH radio for their interviews with Ithaca coach Swanstrom and Union players Will Bellamy and Jack Reilly. Good insights.
Now to this week's thoughts on the Union Dutchmen...After a slow start against Springfield they excelled on both sides of the line of scrimmage, thoroughly dominating the Pride for the final three quarters. It may have been the best football played by Union in a decade. This week's opponent Curry should be an easy win right? Well last year Curry played Union very tough with the Dutch rallying in the 4th to win 17-14. A couple of things to consider this year...Union is better, dem' spicy boyz probably worse. Barring a letdown from Union...U 34-13

There was a time in the early to mid-2000's where there was a larger group of posters, many former RPI players, who were very creative and funny in their daily banter.

You can check out the LL Wikipedia at the bottom of this board for some "history" of a wide variety of the funny terms that used to grace the LLPP back in the day.

Truth be told, all those guys were really just a big bunch of jerks.

It was a lifestyle.  These streets were real back in the day then the E8 figures it was all about Versace and copied the LL style.

Real early there was a killer named Holladawg.  Then he was gone.  Poof.

RPI playing  well so far. 16-0 in Q2. Their kicking game though....woof. I remember seeing the kid kick last year and thought 'Wow, how does RPI have another NFL talent kicker..?.'. This year he can't kick it in the ocean. Brutal and almost lost the Utica game because of it. It will haunt them this year if it doesn't improve.

Yessir.  This is the worst Hobart defense since players were confusing coach Jack daniels with the bottle.  Lots of good reasons/excuses but this is the worst loss I can recall them taking since at least a beatdown to dickinson in the 2009 season opener.   That team at least was top 2 in the CC and our QB and a few other players liked the yayo an awful lot on the 09-10 squads.  Don't think these kids are playing high, but maybe.

Semi-serious question: do they pass the hat on the visitors side at Union games? Only watch the games online so don't know how full the stands were on the home side but looked like a bunch of folks watching from the hillside behind the visitors and I assume they do not pay any admission fee. Nice ambiance though.

I'm a newcomer to LL football so know little about the athletic histories of the schools. Learning a bit and enjoying the banter on this site.

One Union player who caught my eye is OT Tim Driscoll; just a freshman but getting a fair bit of playing time. He's listed at 225 pounds but looks more like 190 as he's quite tall. Seems to be holding his own however (no pun intended).
