I will be taking the next few months to write up a dissertation on TOP. It shall be named something like:

TOP: It only matters when it matters

Some chapters will be:

I: When you win the game, but lose the TOP battle, TOP doesn't matter.
II: When you lose the game, but win the TOP battle, TOP doesn't matter.
III: When you win the game, and win the TOP battle, you win because of your TOP.
IV: When you lose the game, and lose the TOP battle, you lose because of your lack of TOP.
V: When to use TOP to make personnel decisions.

Jonny Utah will be used for statistical references. There isn't a better SME in the game these days.

I will also be listing my POWER TOP rankings for the 2017-2019 seasons.

I think it will be an enjoyable read. I'll be sure to update everyone here on the progress. I know there will be an unchartered level of anticipation.

Ice Bear is laughing, for real. This is hilarious **** MACH. Maybe a top 1 or 2 LLPP post of the year. Ice says there's no where to go from here on TOP. This upcoming NY Times best seller takes the bacon! Maybe Manbart and Ice can write a forward?

.............TASTE IT!!!!!!!!.....................................

I rest my case.

Anyway, Segala getting DQ'd at the end may blow up the HOB-COR NYS bowl game. MOR winning means there's another potential rematch which potentially f's things up for another year.

Guess we'll see Sunday.

What happened?

Refs threw a Cortland player out of the game for making contact with a ref.  I didn't see it but it happened after an Ithaca interception that out the game away

Thanks.  Interesting.  At any rate, congrats to the Bombers for the strong finish.  And after all the drama, glad to see Germinerio show the world what he can do on the big stage.

I'm hoping it's enough to push the Bombers back in the regional top ten, and in the process, knock Endicott out, which I'm hoping might somehow be enough to bump Union over Del Val and Wesley in the seedings.  Would make rather face a NE team in round one with hopes of a second home game, then run the risk of having to play Mt. Union in Ohio in round 2.  Though, for the record, I think the Dutchmen are capable of anything this year.

Fun fact - Union returns 10 starters on offense next year, including Bellamy, Ross, Irabor and the whole O-line..  (Defense will have a lot more to replace.)

I honestly wish Union the best of luck in the NCAA's, represent the LL well.  However, in response to above....Hobart returns 9/11 starters on defense, the Statesmen will be ready....

+k to Oline for the counterpunch......Hobart D will be awesome next year , especially with the Union and Ithaca games at the BOZ where LL Champs are dethroned. That said...all the best to the Dutchmen for a deep run in the NCAA playoffs

I think Hobart is going to be beastly next year - they kind of remind me of Union last year, talented but still green.  If you find yourself a QB, watch out.  (Maybe you could steal Grochot?)

Pretty happy with Union's placing in what turned out to be a Mt.Union-less group. the Dutchmen get the expected first round home game albeit unexpectedly against Case Western Reserve. A trip to Salisbury, a trip Union has made before in the NCAA's, would be a chance to prove dominance in the East.

Union and CWR have a common opponent this season...Rochester...CWR beat Rochester on 9/7, 37-6 while Union won in Rochester 47-19 on 10/12.

Grochot is already signed with Ithaca ;D

Ice Bear

Ice Bear says he is selfishly VERY happy with the Dutchmen placement in the bracket. Ice sees possibly a winnable two game stretch with no Mt. Union in the first two rounds. Of course it could certainly be one and done with a very respectful opponent in CWRU. Or a first round win and then a loss to what has proved to be a very strong Salisbury team who will no doubt be waiting for the winner of Union/CWRU.

Ice feels Union is not overmatched (at least on paper) or under-matched here in round one. This should be a great game here in Shocktown. Ice is psyched to see CWRU as he has never seen them play before and knows little about them. He gives them all the respect they deserve and will be interested to see what they bring to the table. Very exciting times in Schenectady that don't have to do with weapons being fired at random. Can't ask for anything more in Shocktown, USA.

Amen to that.  I'll take anyone in this bracket.  Great teams, but bring it on.

Union does not have an easy path, but the first 2 games are winable against CWRU and Salisbury. I would love to see Union win the first round (not that easy, for sure ) and have a great matchup with the NJAC Champs on their field( Salisbury gets this game because of the wins against higher ranked Regionals Oshkosh and Wesley). IF(and that is a big if) the U wins the first 2 , the U will most likely get Muhlenberg as an opponent , a great program led by HOBART grad, Nate Milne('03)....this is a challenging bracket for Union , but not impossible ,to show its balance and composure as the LL Champ.
I would say go Union, but I have a hard time saying that, instead, GO LL Champs!

Why does everyone keep saying 'first 2 games'? Union has a legit shot to win this bracket. I think Salisbury is probably the toughest out. What is so impressive about Muhlenburg other than their ranking? It looks like they are very good, but not next tier good. I don't get it.

I agree they have a legit shot at this bracket. Muhlenberg has not really been tested . Probably is overrated in poll, but who knows...we will see? Case Western is certainly not an easy first game. Union could  win three or be one and done.

Yup. That's the way I feel. Kind of reminds me of RPI's road last year. All games Union could lose, but definitely winnable all the way to Mount. In the little blurbs of 'how far can they go?', getting to Mount isn't out of the question. Case Western seems like a wild card, but I'm guessing they aren't world beaters. Union has probably played 2-3 better teams this year.

Good luck to the Dutchmen, but I am focused on the NY State Mega Bowl in Cortland . Total energy against the Red Dragons and the need to protect the refs from the Cortlandites.I am afraid the NCAA will have to wait a week as the Bartman enjoys the festivities and pre Thanksgiving parade before the game ....Dragon and Statesmen floats .....circus clowns and elephants.....dragon meat on stick...candy Cortland Apples.....I can't wait...it is a MegaBowl you know .....Seriously, I am glad the Statesmen finished the season well and has one more game for the Seniors. Go Bart...building for 2020

Found out one thing about Case Western Reserve...Does the name Kevin Burke ring a bell? It should. He was a 2 time Gagliardi trophy winning QB for Mt. Union just a few years ago. He now serves as the QB coach/coordinator for CWR. The Spartans current QB Drew Saxton was named PAL offensive and rookie of the year last season. This year he's thrown for 2718 yards and 24 TDs...Union QB Will Bellamy has 1940 yds and 18 TDs...Of importance the Spartans don't have anybody quite like Ike Irabor.  :o
