Found out one thing about Case Western Reserve...Does the name Kevin Burke ring a bell? It should. He was a 2 time Gagliardi trophy winning QB for Mt. Union just a few years ago. He now serves as the QB coach/coordinator for CWR. The Spartans current QB Drew Saxton was named PAL offensive and rookie of the year last season. This year he's thrown for 2718 yards and 24 TDs...Union QB Will Bellamy has 1940 yds and 18 TDs...Of importance the Spartans don't have anybody quite like Ike Irabor.  :o

Here's a Kevin Burke feature we ran a couple seasons ago:

Why does everyone keep saying 'first 2 games'? Union has a legit shot to win this bracket. I think Salisbury is probably the toughest out. What is so impressive about Muhlenburg other than their ranking? It looks like they are very good, but not next tier good. I don't get it.

I agree with you Mach, I fully expect BPort to beat the Mules in round 2.  Will set up a great match up for either Union or Salisbury in the Quarters

Ice Bear says this would be great and is most likely being a snowflake (previously) and/or not trying to jinx this ****ing beautiful ride.

In all seriousness Ice most certainly believes his Dutch are capable of taking it into round three, no question. Like he said before though...they could just as easily be one and done.

Ice doesn't know shiat about CWRU. He's starting to read up a bit. Bottom line he feels they will be solid and prove to be a tough out for Union.

You're correct, but this is the playoffs, and everyone but SUNY-Maritime has had a good season and should compete. If Union is as good as most of us think they are, maybe they won't win the bracket, but the opportunity has never been better.

I think Brockport could win 2 games if June comes back? No way with Hellwig are they making a run. His arm is completely shot!!

I didn't know June was out.  What is his status?

Ithaca playing W&J in an ECAC game in Ithaca.  Don't think we've played those terds since '94.

4 LL teams in post season play, pretty good year....

Caz Bombers

RPI playing at Grove City, a school Caz has only heard of because he remembers learning in a class at IC that they declined all federal funding at one point in the 1980s because they refused to comply with Title IX, on religious grounds or something. Do they still do that? That seems very stupid.

They still do not accept federal funds.

How about that. Well then, Caz certainly hopes RPI beats their backwards hick azzes several rock strata deep into the ground.

I remember Grove City because they had some all-time leading rusher like 20 some odd years ago. Might have played in the NFL if I remember correctly. Haven't heard much of them since though.
