Weather's supposed to be great on South Hill. Sticking with my IC prediction, but very cautiously

Ice Bear says listen, this is a team who lost ****ing 3-0 to a not very good SJF team. Ice says it's not out of control to think IC ****ing steamrolls RPI on Saturday.

And you guys lost the Shoes to this team last year on a botched onside kick and FG at the gun in the rain on the road by a moonlighting 3rd string soccer player.

These people are highly experienced sorcerers of deep Valyrian f***ing blood magic, Ice. Caz refuses to anger these MF'ers if at all possible.
Caz, you are very wise to not anger these magical Slide-rulers. I saw a below average D3 QB  transform into Tom Brady and throw 7 perfect passes  for the game winning scoring drive that ruined the Statesmen's season.  :o

FWTFIW, he was an All-American soccer player.

I watched both IC and RPI take down Hobart in different ways.  IC came out aggressive, a strong attacking offense that hit open receivers and marched down the field. Hobart countered with an aggressive offensive game plan, but the better team won the game.  By contrast, against RPI, Hobart (by designed game plan) wanted to keep the game close, and played a painfully one dimensional ram the ball up the middle offensive attack.  RPI 's strength is their defensive front.  This plan failed miserably, hence the 2-0 score in the first half.  Despite Mach's late season appearance, I see an easy 28-6 win by IC.

Hobart is playing at home for pride at this point.  They have the potential to be good offensive team, the defense is as strong as ever.  I am hoping for a big home field advantage, 5th year seniors stepping up on offense, and our army of linebackers flying around the field.  24-21 Hobart

I have honestly been underwhelmed by Hobart this year. Yeah they almost beat RPI (join the club) but they're usually a much tougher out for IC, especially in Geneva. But the offense has just not been there all season, with the exception of games against overmatched opponents like Keystone and Alfred.

If Union is Fully healthy, I think they win 31-13, setting up a winner-take all LL clash next weekend between Union and IC

Bartman has been disappointed this year with the Hobart offense and the defense on the RPI winning drive two weeks ago. Otherwise the defense , especially the Linebackers have performed very well. I totally understand that IC has not been impressed by the team especially with the sad performance against his Bombers this year......and the loss to Morrisville when our starting QB and leading WR were benched for the game and we had some very strange turnovers. No excuses offered, a good team would have played better against IC(probably not winning) , but beaten Mooville and the Slide-rulers. This weekend they are honoring the 2012 team that went 12-1 making it to the final 8 by beating very good W&L and Wittenberg teams before falling to St. Thomas That team had a ton of talent, including 3 All Americans (and Ali Marpet wasn't even an All American that year). Bartman is hoping that the players from the 2012 team get to the Boz earlier and dress for the game , that team would beat the hell out of the Dutchies. But, alas, I am only dreaming. This 2022 team needs to save it's season and protect the Boz. Is it possible, YES, but they have to play their best game of the year. The Union Offense is good , but so is the Hobart defense. The key to the game will be the coaching staff coming up with a super offensive game plan and an Offensive line that pulls together and finally lets our 2 backs that amassed over 2000 yards last year run against a very good Union defense mixed with our fifth year QB  throwing with  accuracy on a consistent basis. If they can't get it done just put the 2012 team out there to finish the Dutchman off. I won't predict the score......I'm just praying they win and sing the alma mater in front of a dejected Union squad. How sweet it would be.

Ice Bear

Ice Bear says a Hobart win would certainly not shock him. Ice says after all, this is Hobart and they are still, at least in Ice's eyes, a solid football team and an excellent football program. While Ice admittedly favors his Dutchmen, he does so hoping, believing they will play at the high end of their game. Ice says obviously they did not last week and if they bring that flat approach to Geneva they will definitely lose. Ice is hoping for a great game that is exciting and injury free for both sides. Ice has tremendous respect for Hobart, their fans, alumni, and all the Pumpkin Patches across the world. Ice says this is a great time of year in our league and he'll enjoy going through it with all his brethren on the LLPP!

Ice, shoutout to you for your LL support.  The Pumpkinheads are going full Pumpkin Orange uniform today for Halloween weekend and will blind the Dutchmen with orange flashes to victory . A great game down the road in Ithaca as RPI trys to find their offense against the Bombers. Good luck to the entire LL on a beautiful day for football.

I fully admit that I have trouble picking against the Statesmen (must be these pumpkin colored glasses).  Irabor is absolute Hobart killer. If Union starts out by running him between the tackles, and HC sticks to the 2 down-lineman front, this could get ugly quickly.  HC has the potential to be very good, not great, but very good, and maybe that's all it will take.  If DeWall reverts back to the ultra conservative offense/defense schemes, Union will be smashing pumpkins on Halloween.

Dammit,  RPI has some injured players back:

#2 Norman Williams DB: Malone, NY

#13 QB Raymond Spangler: Waverly, NY

#55 LB Klye Sampson: Elmont, NY

#82 WR Steve Sonneburg: Berwick, ME

#77 OT Bruce Dannon: Lansing, NY

For anyone watching the home Ithaca broadcast for the first time, you can now experience one of the worst video broadcasts in the country.......So annoying not being able to actually watch the game without 2,453 different camera angles that miss live plays.

Talk about a key play. A mistake riddled Union was behind 17-7, playing lackluster, with Hobart driving for another score when RB Tim Denham is stripped of the football. Union immediately scores to make it 17-14. gets the ball back and scores again...21-17 Union at the half...Donovan Pacatte is 8/10 152 yards and 3 TDs. Two to Nicholas Dunneman, 5/119!
