NCC winning the game up front on both sides of the ball.  But I like how Ithaca today (and this year in general) has built around what they have and don't have.  Lots of WR screens that they run well and other RB screens and sweeps that can at least keep a defense honest.  The online is what they are.  Good zone blocking big guys but that only gets you so far against a team like this.

Would have liked to have seen some better tackling in the first half but they have been playing some decent bend but don't break ball up to this point.

Ice Bear loves how physical the Bombers are. Ice says those are a tough bunch of young men and they are swarming to the best of their ability. To Ice, that demands respect and Ice is sure the NCC players, while more talented and deeper across the board, respect that as well.
Completely agree. The bombers hit harder than any team we've seen this year and played with tenacity. The Cards won, but they'll know they played a game when they wake up tomorrow.

Totally impressed by NCC again this year as they took another tough team from the Liberty League and physically wore them down in the second half. The Bombers looked good on the first half score and made some nice hits on defense that should get some respect. But , at the end of the day, the level of play by the National Champions is overwhelming over an entire game. Good luck to NCC the rest of the way. As far as the Bombers, you can hold your heads up on a very successful season by getting to the Elite Eight without a loss. Looking forward to 2023 and visiting Butterfield next year.

Why did I think this IC/NCC game was at 12 and not 1.......?

Senior moment?  ;)
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Wearing teams down and out in the second half is something of a trademark for NCC. They have been doing it all year. Same last week with Carnegie-Mellon who stuck with the Cardinals fairly well in the first half, but who got ground down in the second. The Bombers deserve to be very proud of their fine season.

My initial impression of NCC is that their O-Line is dominating. The LT #72 has got to be an All-American candidate. It's looking like a long day for the Bombers.

Cardinals #72 Will Ebert is the only senior starter on the O line. They have a freshman, two sophs, and a junior. The TE is also a junior.

NCC reminds me of the St.Thomas team Hobart played back in 2012, a ton of talent . They just won the Division I Pioneer League with a coach that is an Ithaca alum.

Congrats on a great season Ithaca. We both came up short today, but it sounds like you guys played hard all day.

It may not show up on the scoreboard, but the men from Ithaca challenged the Cardinals on every play.  They represented themselves and IC well.  Congratulations on a fantastic season and deep run in the playoffs.  Respect.

Hazzben,
Great run by Bethel this year and very impressive effort yesterday. Good luck in 2023.

Ha they had the time listed in Central time!  Bunch of clock munching pagans out there at NCC!

Jonny Utah

All Region teams are out.  They have Wingfield 2nd team (should be first but everyone makes mistakes :D).  Anyway he is listed as a junior.  Mistake or do the d3 gods know something I don't.....?

Pat Coleman

That's how he was nominated.
