LL Rankings (ranked by opponents 4th quarter QB kneels)

1. Hobart (0)
2. Rochester (0)
3. RPI (0)
4. SLU (0)
5. Ithaca (1)
6. Buff St. (1)
7. Union (2)

There Union is ranked properly now.  And Hobart is first because they had a chance to take a knee but didn't.

All seriousness Union didn't throw much.  I know it wasn't much of a match up but I figured they would have more attempts.

Also Hilbert punted 11 times but only 2 returns.....

TOP Union dominated which is really all that matters.

Patch Flannigan also got a few throws.  One of the top names in d3 football.  I also like how Pacatte is a section 2 guy.

Frosh RB had a huge game too.  NJ recruit I see.

Ice inquires about when he mentioned the six kneel downs at all IC  ???

Ice doesn't need to rank anyone douche. Ice reminds your  :'( self that YOU put the poll up there and when one does that, they open that poll, that interpretation, up for critique. Ice says when you elected to not include a team in the poll and then to :'( about it when you received some rebuttal ON THIS BOARD, is a very snowflakeable offense. Who knows IC, maybe you are officially replacing Ice as the emotional one, the new snowflake on the board. Ice says either way keep posting as Ice still enjoys most of your contributions...even with the tissues.

Honestly, Ice, you and your stupid third person nonsense is so boring and lame. I cringe every time I have to suffer through one of your inane "Ice says.." posts

As for snowflakes, you guys were the ones who got all whiny when your precious Dutchmen (oops! So much for that nickname! Sucks to suck, as the kids say) weren't included in someone's imaginary poll. Talk about snowflakes and tissues. Cry harder. You're a Union supporter, so you're used to it. Your team cried all throughout the 80s when no one gave you respect, even though your team was too chicken**** to play Ithaca — except when you had no choice, and then you got to cry on the car ride home after losing.

I could not care less if you think I'm a valuable contributor or not. I could actually not care less about all of you. I'd say I'd miss you after I'm inevitably banned for this post. But I won't.

Union vs. Dilbert - 2023

+k to Mach for coming out of hibernation to weigh in on this debate. I appreciate all current LL posters, but it takes a little mud slinging to get an amused Mach and his dog to wake up :o Of course, we all realize that IC is right, Union is padding the wins, IC is manly for scheduling and losing to JHU and Hilbert has our support to beat Ithaca 20 years from now.

It might be time to start speaking Old English again......

Union hath not the experience to possess an army formidable to the rest of the league this year.  They shall be decent, yet not excellent.  Coach Poppe is commendable yet inexperienced on the field of battle.  The bastards from Schocktown have also allowed thine enemies quartermasters to kneel in the face of their King when the battle hath been lost  Blasphemy!

EDIT: Check this out:

Hilbert is a German surname, derived from the Old Germanic name 'Hildebert', itself derived from the words 'hilde', which means 'battle', and 'berht', which means 'bright'.

Dear IC,

I apologize for being a jerk and getting us away from football. I appreciate your insight, knowledge and contributions to the board. Let's get back to football.

Best regards,

Welcome back Mach...In formulating further response to IC it popped into my head that he was evoking the same snarkiness that we loved and expected previously from the great Machiavelli. Hours later here you are !!!.

I've decided that I should let IC's insults just pass.  If calling Union guys "snowflakes, boring, lame and stupid" amuses him (all things he did say) BTW, then he's welcome to expose his "point of view."  I'm not amused but I don't have a problem with it. After all these days we all have a right to be wrong. Find a spot on these boards where I insulted anyone...please.

OK, I'm giving IB and IC  +k, for their posting passions this week, but maybe stay away from the nasty s***, although it did draw out  bloodthirsty Mach.   Now let's bring it in boys and get ready for Week 2 picks. I'm giving creds to Unionpalooza for his perfect pick week in Week #1, so here we go:

WEEK TWO PICKS:

Norwich 17.....................Larries 24.              The Northlanders rebound after being pecked to death by the Gulls

Bombers. 28................  Gulls   21.           The Bombers run for the bus in Beverly after a last minute Winger TD.

Mooville  17....... Tri-Corner Hatters 27        Statesmen avenge last years bucking by the Mustangs

Wilkes.    14....................RPI.  31.             The Slide-rulers rule the day with another Offensive performance

Apprentice 14...............Buff State 13.         Buff State runs up the yardage but not the score

Alfred ST.   17.  ...........YellowJackets 28.     The Stinger  is lethal this week

Poppe's Chargers. 42.............Worchester St  7.  The Union QB sprains his knee after setting a consecutive kneel down record

TIE BREAKER : Highest TOP by which LL team.....Garnet Chargers excluded

Week Two:

Union 51, Worcester 0.  The Former Dutchmen scheme all week to score a hundred in hopes of persuading IC8675309 to rank them, but fall short.

Hobart 28, MoVille 10.  The Statesmen start to click and avenge themselves on the hopelessly boring green turf of the Boz.

Endicott 24, Ithaca 21.  The Bombers run into another avian buzzsaw, making it three straight loss to bird teams going back to 2022.  People on South Hill begin to speak in hushed tones of "The Curse of the Bird."  Union considers changing their mascot again to the Garnet Penguins.

SLU 17, Norwich 10.  The Larries win a very poor game of football.

Rochester 31, Alfred St. 10.  The Bees and Big Papa run wild.

Buff St. 20, Apprentice 10.  The good news is that the Bengals win.  The bad news is that because Apprentice is not in the NCAA or NAIA and doesn't grant degrees, a heated debate on D3boards breaks out over the whether to credit them a win.  Things are said and feelings are hurt.

Wilkes 31, RPI 28.  Coach Drach has his boys prepared, and Insernia pops a gasket watching the Engineers blow a late lead.

Union 48, Worcester 6 - Union continues beat up on inferior non conference opponents

Hobart 31, Morrisville 13 - The green turf confuses the Mustangs and Hobart cruises to an easy win

Endicott 16, Ithaca 31 - Another tough test and long road trip for the Bombers. While EC is a very good team I don't think they are on par with JHU. Coach Terp gets the secondary right this week and Bombers run for 200+ to a hard fought win.

SLU 13, Norwhich 6 - Take the alternate under

Rochester 40, Alfred St 21 - 250 yards on the ground for #1 from UR

Buff st 27, Apprentice 8 - I have never heard of apprentice but will take Unionpalooza's word on this one

Wilkes 24, RPI 34 - A big play offense gives the engineers the spark they need and the defense makes big plays when called upon

Didn't think I'd have time to engage with this, but very quickly:

Union -56
Worcester - 0
O'Doyle Rules!!!

Hobart - 24
Morrisville - 17
Not really sure how I feel about Hobart this year.

Endicott - 21
Ithaca - 24
I don't think the game should really be this close. Endicott is big and quasi-athletic though, so will be interesting.

SLU - 00
Norwich - 00
Who gives a ****?

Rochester - 24
Alfred St - 10
Also feels like a 'who gives a ****?' game to me. Maybe Roch-Vegas will surprise us this year. Doubt it. But maybe.

Buffalo St. - 45
Apprentice - 24
No idea. Will lose zero sleep over having no idea.

Wilkes - 10
RPI - 42
Maybe I'm losing it, but I could've sworn I just read that someone took Wilkes here. That Upstate NY weed must be some good sh!t.

Week Two: Here we go  ;D

Union 60  vs. Worcester St. 10 - I am pretty confident Union will win this by at least three scores. After some reflection and thought on Union's place in the d3/LL world right now, this contest is really nothing more than a second scrimmage for Union (believe me I say that with the no intention of disrespecting WS). If this game is at all remotely close, and by remotely I'm going to say within 3 TD's, it may provide us an idea that Union may just be the same Union team we saw last year? Next week should give us a better idea of who this team is but like last year, until they get to one of the other big fellas, we will only be able to speculate.

Hobart 24, MoVille 14  -   Hobart should avenge last year's tough loss this weekend. I believe the Statesmen will compete enough on the offensive side of the ball to score enough to win by a solid 10 points. The O needs to figure out exactly what to do with those two incredible backs. This week may help.

Ithaca 28, Endicaott 17 - This game is closer than many of us would like but I believe it will be more about IC shaking off the tough physical loss from last week and resetting with the focus of running the table from here on out. Endicott has showed they are a program that can reload (relative to their league) and compete with other top eastern programs. IC is just a better team.

SLU 17, Norwich 13 - I believe this one will be close (I really hope I'm proven wrong here). I just haven't seen much from SLU and maybe it's my blinders as a result of really wanting them to improve and be a good football team. They are still finding out who they are in 2023. The Cadets, who always play hard won't make it easy.

Rochester 24, Alfred St. 10 - I think Papatonis puts on a show because he is really good, and unless your run D is really good, he'll make you pay. He's that type of player.

Buff St. 17, Apprentice 14 - I really hope the Bengals get in the win column.

RPI 34, Wilkes 27 - I think this season may see RPI in some shootouts. I believe this weekend will be another one, only they won't wait until the fourth quarter to start trading.

I am honestly very grateful for D3 football. I am rooting heavily for all the LL teams this weekend!
