Ithaca DLine is one of the best I've seen in my twenty five years down here. OLine a good group of passblockers too.

Feel like the lousy weather effected Union quite a bit. Had a lot of open receivers that they just didn't connect with. Their punter is good. Their kicker had a tough day.

Yeah, I wondered whether Pacatte had a problem throwing in the rain.  He threw poorly last week, also in the rain.

Btw, did you catch a number on the instigator at the end of the game?  Union did the same thing when Salisbury was in victory formation in the 2019 playoffs.  It was lame then, and lame this time.  Especially for a D that played so well all day.

This isn't really a comment on the quality of the calls, but I have never seen a game where penalties we so impactful.

2nd quarter: Union roughing the passer extends IC drive, Bombers get FG
2nd quarter: IC takes back to back penalties that wipe out a TD and then a 30-yard gain to the Union 25, Bombers punt
3rd quarter: Union unsportsmanlike conduct penalty pushes Union from the IC 24 to 39, and then a false start pushes them back 5 more, Union gets no points
3rd quarter: IC unsportsmanlike penalty nulifies TD run, IC gets no points
4th quarter: Union roughing the passer turns a 2nd and 10 from the 29 to a 1st and 10, IC eventually scores
4th quarter: Union offsides penalty effectively ends game

IC had 14 points wiped off, but also gained 3 points. And Union probably lost points on their 3rd quarter drive. Just insane

Anyone know if an ejection carries an additional game out at the D3 level?

Our center got run after chasing around 33. It looked like one of those WWF squash matches where the four hundred pound guy squashes multiple little guys with no entrance music. Was entertaining he was the special guest on the pregame show. Said he'd like Paul Blart to play him in a movie.

Tricky to lose both of the guys who touch the ball every play if it comes to that next week. Traveling to Rochester has trap written all over it.

Thought so.  Same dude who took his helmet on the field after stopping RPI on a two-point conversion with 29 seconds left to seemingly win the game in 2021, only to draw a 15 yard penalty, which after RPI converted the successful onside kick, meant they won the game on a long field goal, probably keeping Union out of a Pool C bid.  Good times.

I'd like to see a replay on the offensive interference call to the freshman receiver thirty yards down the field.

Those guys certainly weren't shy to make questionable big calls in big spots all day long against both sides.

From what I saw that was a good call.

The Union defensive lineman that instigated the riot, then immediately sprinted off the field to allow his teammates and Ithaca to deal with the chaos that ensued wins LL Moran of Year Award.

Yup. Unfortunate and not a good look for Union.

Wingfield's injury just sucks. All injuries suck, but in particular a 5th year guy who can't redshirt, who was going to get his first ever home Cortaca game, that's just a bummer.

The deep irony here is that when the schedule came out, the fact that IC's was so front-loaded, it really felt like IC was thrown into the gauntlet. Two back to back road games agains playoff caliber teams, one get-right game, and then the LL gauntlet. But the one bigger picture comfort IC fans can take is that, barring chaos, they have likely clinched the LL and have Colin Schumm three weeks to get ready for Cortland.

So the big question is, could an upset happen in the LL? Maybe. Rochester did almost beat Union, though the bigger problem for the Yellow Jackets is they got gashed on the ground and Ithaca will likely be more than happy to run 45 times next week.

St Lawrence failed to score against Endicott and Union and posted 111 and 136 yards of offense, which does not bode well for producing against IC, which has an elite defense.

Buffalo State put up 450(!) yards of offense on RPI, really on the backs of three huge plays. But I just don't see the overall talent level.

That said, as crazy as it sounds, Rochester controls their own destiny with three games left in the season. Which is what we all expected.

Congrats to the Bombers. I traveled to see the game and missed the Hobart scrimmage. My Observations:

The rain was not that bad, and Union fans travelled well in numbers , as the Bombers side was pretty sparse.
The Defenses were both strong.
The Bombers coaches are better.
Wingate threw a beautiful first TD pass.
Pacette couldn't throw and the Union WRs were not that impressive yesterday.
Wingate annoying runs were shut down.
Fiore seemed to run backwards.
Union kicker messed up.
JLO is awesomely fast and incredibly dumb for celebrating before scoring.
Wingate literally sacrifices his body...hope he can recover for Cortaca
Ithaca made enough mistakes to give the game to Union but Union could not take advantage.
This was a sloppy game in many ways capped by a stupid extracurricular at the end.
Congrats to the Bombers , don't sleep on the Yellowjackets.

LL Power rankings : What Ice Bear said. Hobart looked a bit better than Union at Butterfield and the Bombers gave Union lots more chances. RPI is a clear #2 ( should be ranked nationally as well), until the games are played. Rochester...the dream is possible.

I think it's insane that the Bombers' last two games have been influenced by just inexcusable pre-snap penalties by their opponents.

It's crazy that RPI is not even getting a single vote for the latest poll. I still think they deserve to be #17.

I think Poppe is going to be very successful and win LL titles, but with the exception of the DC and his team, all of the Union coaches are playing their roles for the very first time, and it shows some times.  I think there is a ton of energy focused on rebuilding the culture and passion, and the technical coaching stuff make take some time to mature.

I am glad the board was down after the game or else I would have had so much harsher words to use to describe that game. All I am going to say is that is why Union is little brother and will always be little brother. The game was not nearly as close as the score indicated. Both teams were plagued by the weather and great teams (Bombers) capitalize on the mistakes of their lesser opponents. Both teams had sloppy penalties and obviously Osbourne let it get to him on his TD run that was called back for taunting.

You could tell by the reactions of players like Wingfield during the game that Union was doing some less than brotherly things in the pile and I am not saying that is what lead to the Wingfield injury but I do think their style of play towards the end of that game absolutely played a factor. Watching that game brought back a lot of great memories of beating Union and reminding them why they will never have a program like Ithaca.

I am so excited to continue to beat them year after year after year after year. Let's go win the LL next week.
