No idea either, but yesterday, RPI posted a video from practice on Twitter X.  McCormack (and two other QBs) were shown throwing passes. Kazanowsky was not shown.  Could this mean something, or could it just be a clever ruse???

Wow, NCAA has issued "corrected" rankings for R2, placing Union ahead of Muhlenberg.  I have to imagine the back story there is pretty good.

Honestly, it's probably something as simple as a transcription error. But this changes a lot, either way

First let me comment on the developments this morning. The NCAA announced a "corrected" Region 2 RR that moved Union ahead of Muhlenberg. Obviously I'm pleased but it will mean nothing if the Garnet don't win Saturday. I wonder if a certain "mayor" made a few phone calls?

The Liberty League announced it's fall All-Academic Team. A student athlete needs a 3.3 GPA to achieve this recognition. Lots of LL football players on this list. Nice job for all these young men on this list.  Gotta say, I was surprised to see how many business and economics majors there were from all of these schools (except RPI who doesn't have a business or economic major).  When I played there may have been 5 kids on the team who were business or economics majors.

Frank Rossi has reported it was a "clerical error." 

Looking at lots of data I think's it's now pretty clear Union's chances at Pool C are very high if they beat RPI, barring a major heavyweight like North Central losing on the last weekend.  (At this point, I think it's UWW, St. John's, Hope, and Union.)

Also based on that data, IC, I now agree with you that Ithaca will host the first round even with a loss at Cortland.  An Ithaca win probably drops Cortland behind Union in final R2 rankings and sends them on the road.  Probably a 50/50 chance Union moves past Grove City with a win at RPI, depending on how much SOS moves down for GC and up for Union. 

Basically, across the rankings, it seems to work out is an extra win is worth about .075 in SOS, and a RRW worth about .050 in SOS.  (By that metric, IC, Ithaca should COMFORTABLY be a #1 seed if they beat Cortland, along with JHU, Wartburg, and UWW.  Though I think the Committee probably reverts heavily back to actual regional ranking numbers when it comes to seeding.)

I saw that, and my instant thought was they are trying to re-enact the Pineapple Bowl episode of Coach, and trick Union into thinking he wouldn't play.

I saw that, and my instant thought was they are trying to re-enact the Pineapple Bowl episode of Coach, and trick Union into thinking he wouldn't play.

So I broke down those clips and noticed RPI's starting oline in there (meaning these are 1st team reps). Frosh RT Mark Woster also getting some action in that clip.

Cool video. I am curious what's up with the QB situation. Again, I really liked what I saw from McCormack last week. Kid can sling it. As a fan of the LL I love it. As a fan of Union it scares the Shocktown out of me.
