Respectfully, I think Bartman was wrong about the LL awards being primarily based on LL play  ;)

LL-only QB stats

2nd-teamer QB Jake Kazanowsky: 63.9% completion, 659 yards, 3 TD, 5 INT
HM QB Matthew Parker: 74.4% completion, 1,245 yards, 10 TD, 2 INT

I mean, it's closer if you look at the entire season (which FWIW, I would). But if you are looking at conference only stats, it's not even close.

I see your point IC. I was told in the past it was based on LL competition, but all I can say is the coaches vote and it looks like Parker certainly had the best stats no matter how you look at it. Not sure what other factors beyond stats went into it. I think Colombi was picked for his leadership , although his stats are decent, but Parker certainly looks good comparatively.

This wasn't a post comparing Parker and Colombi

My assumption is Senior vs Sophomore.  I am sure the coaches are looking at the body of work, Parker will win when he is a senior.  Fair, probably not, but it's the LL....

Cole DaSilva being fourth in the nation in tackles and getting left off the LL first team?  Some of these coaches need to lay off the crack pipe.

It does seem odd.

Obviously I'm bias, but DeSilva was a machine and a fifth year senior to boot. Rarely do I pick at these things and certainly there were other worthy candidates, obviously including the chosen first teamer, but man DeSilva was one hell of an LB. When thinking about this, this may be an even bigger slight than the constant barrage of disrespect and unfairness aimed at the PAC year in and year out... :P

The biggest mistake in the LL all league picks was not having Hobart's punter as the SPOY.  He was third in the country in punting ave. while their kicker was 25th in FG%.

But, Hobart's kicker Tobias Wefering was 27/29 on XP, 15/20 on FGs, 4/5 on 40-49 yarders, 3/5 on 30-39 yarders and 8/10 on 20-29 yarders.  His longest was 49 yards.  I guess the volume of long kicks put him over the edge although I think Lyon was more valuable to Hobart.

Just my opinion though.

Ithaca will miss the national playoffs with a 45th ranking in national TOP rankings.  Good luck to SJF (2nd in the country in TOP), Dean College (5th), and Springfield (17th) in the national playoffs!

In all seriousness, Dean College went 0-8 this year.  They were outscored 329-13 in the season.  They made the ECFC "playoff" game???  WTF is going on there?  (They lost 37-15 in that game)

It's so unlike you to make a mistake like this. :o The ECFC championship game was between Anna Maria and Alfred St. not 0-9 Dean. The Pioneers won 39-37 holding off a late Amcat rally. They get to play at Endicott.

yea they call it just 'playoff' game on their website.  3 vs 4.  Obviously it was not for the national playoffs which was decided that day as well, but still.....a "playoff" game for an 0-8 team?

Tough injuries at the end of the year, but your Coach Chad can build on this. I heard Ted Baker accepted the announcing job for the game , so he will be a homer for the LL participant, no doubt ;D"

Thanks Bartman!   Send Teddy over we will need all the help we can get!

I've always loved Ted Baker whether Hobart beats or loses to Ithaca.

But the best thing about him JacketsPride, is when Hobart is losing and he goes nuts at the bad calls, the refs and everything else that goes wrong for Hobart that day.

But seriously I like him no matter what.
