Gro's Addition to the DAWGSERVATION
Good point Dawg... Gro hates PT's almost as much as he hates wearing pants. But what really gets Gro mad is the 'fat PT'. Is it just me, or should one of the pre-req's for being a personal trainer that you actually be in shape yourself? Gro hates being at the gym and watching some soccer mom w/ $100 gym outfit on doing a circuit workout while her fat personal trainer has a clipboard in one hand and his cell phone in the other.

BIGGER FASTER STRONGER!! now that was the program

Dawg, this is what you do........

The night before you go to the gym, eat a lot of chile, corn, taco bell burritos, a spinnach calzone, and a bran muffin.....DO NOT POOP UNTILL THE NEXT MORNING. (this is important)

The next morning, take a tablespoon of exlax right after you get up.

Go to the gym, and let it fly......BUT DONT WIPE

Now, come out of the lockeroom of the gym wearing nothing but sneakers, a jockstrap, and one of those cutoff grey t-shirts you probably were given while playing college football.

Then, go onto the treadmill for about an half an hour. (or whatever time it takes to get a nice greasy sweat going.)

Go in front of the squat rack, and just do a few squat thrusts or squats without the bar, making sure you look mean while you do them.

Then, go over to the section where all the pts are training people where those bouncy balls are.

Proceed to sit on, and bounce on every single ball in the gym.  Be sure to turn the ball around and around as you bounce.  As you are doing this, try to find someone eating a protein bar.  When you see this, bounce over to that person, grab the protein bar out of their hand, and throw it across the room and scream....."STOP EATING AND START BOUNCING FOOL"

Then get up go over to one of the stationary bikes, sit down for 10 seconds and say "screw this, Im outta here", and just walk out of the gym

Anyone notice how none of the kids from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were even a little bit cool... Where was the athlete who pile drives wonka into the chocolate river??? Coulda done sooo much more with that "classic"

Gro, the job advice is a lifelong keeper....ZA thanks you, RT and others for changing our lives!!!

As far as football and "respect"....best way to get it is to go deeper into the playoffs when the opportunity arises.

ZA has stated several times now, that the best thing that happened to Union is RPI's rise...Frankly, RPI benefited by beating Union as Union was always looked at as the stronger program...IF Union beat RPI, it was looked at (years ago anyway) as just another win in a heated rivalry....

When the teams beat each other now, it REALLY means something...This is an example where it's great to have a rivalry, but having parity is actually beneficial to each others programs.

ZA realizes RPI will always "hate" the U and the U will always "hate" RPI....BUT, the level of respect has every reason to grow between the two schools as ZA sees both schools ironically "helping" each other regarding what others in D-3 think of their programs.

And  a little "hatred" isn't a bad thing when there is mutual respect for the programs...Of course some may disagree about the mutual respect part, but most of the posters on this board from Union have respect for their across the river archrival.  And especially for the RPI posters who have helped us improve our SURVIVAL skills on the job, with the ladies, etc....NOW that's important STUFF!!!!!

Good morning to everyone!!!  ZA is learning to do less work and get noticed for "doing" more!!!  Man, that's a good arse skill to learn as a jeidi!

Regarding personal trainers...YUK!!! Bigger Faster Stronger still IS a great program!!!

ZA particularly likes when they try to use a famous power lifter or body builder to promote some rubber band training device or electronic ab belt, etc....

Yup, it's really easy to believe that some football player who squated 700lbs for reps got there by using the ab roller or "mr. fitness usa all in one machine" that barely suppports you sitting on the machine....

A real man squats heavy weights and farts with enough force to blow out a hole in his sweat pants and make the personal trainers run for cover yelling ooooohhh, he's so gross!!!

This message board is gonna sound pretty quiet after Ithaca and Cortland pound Union and Hobart. The LL should stand for Laughable Losers, Union's defense is unsound and Ithaca will throw for about 400 yards against them. Hobart's offense will be lucky to gain 100 total yards against Cortland's defense.

Unsound?  How do you figure?  Instead of throwing out useless crap like this, come with something statistical to back it up.  Ithaca's defense has given up more yards rushing, passing, overall and points.  Yep, Union's defense must be unsound.

I will quote Bob Knight "Statistics are for losers", Union's defense does not tackle well and thier defensive backs are offensive with thier coverage skills. How about the 70 yard play Hobart had when the ball vounced off the defender from Union's facemask into the reciever's hands, athletic. All I am saying is if Union played Ithaca's schedule which featured better offenses then the stats would be different. The proof will be in the pudding when Felicetti throws fro 500 yards and Ithaca wins by 40

i agree that Ithaca will have big numbers against union on offense, but I'm thinking ithaca will run over 200 yards against union while union will be held under 200. look for a balanced attack against union with their soft interior being taken advantage of. It will also be fun to watch union's corners trying to use their 12 yard cushion against Ithaca's potent underneath pass game. It will be picked apart all day. I am looking for canestrari to have a huge day and the 1-2 runningback combo of donovan and baez to rip this defense brused and battered.

I've got to give it to you Ithaca guys....you sure are good trash talkers!

ZA doesn't believe Ithica can brag much about S.O.S. either...They beat SJF who is 7 & 2 and that took overtime...They beat Alfred who is 8 & 2 and they lost to Cortland who is 7 & 2...Buff State, Hartwick, Norwich, Springfield, had losing records.  Lycoming just got by Susq who had 8 losses.

Utica was 6 & 4 and Brockport was 5 & 5.  ZA isn't bragging about Union's opponents' winning records either except for Hobart 8 and 1 and RPI 7 & 2.  WPI was 6 and 3 and F and M is now 5 and 5....Who the heck has control over an opponents winning record until you play them head to head...How can one know Muhlenburg, after being in the NCAA's three years in a row, would lose almost every game?  Who knew Utica would start to win? They certainly couldn't come close to RPI...

ZA agrees that the U-D has been very impressive at times and has given up chunks of yardage at other times...That's a legitimate observation.

But the S.O.S. stuff just doesn't hold water....It will all get figured out in two days!!! All this fan asks of his team is to give it 110 percent!!!

Id say Ithacas nonleague schedule was a little tougher, records aside.....It doesnt mean theyre better than Union though.

Excuse me.  I must be missing something.  What part of Ithica's schedule was so much better than Union's schedule?

Oh, and a 70-yard reception after bouncing off a player's facemask and into the air?  I think in most states, that is called a lucky break.  Call me crazy.

Don't forget Ithica's great win over 6-4 Utica........
