The only true currency in this bankrupt world... is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.

NNR, I won't respond to your earlier posts as I understand you would like nothing more than a war of words to occupy yourself next week due to the uncontroversial nature of Rowan fans. I don't think many disrespected Union this week. Just bc we picked Ithaca to win doesn't connote a lack of respect; they're our team, of course we're going to pick them. It's not arrogance, just a biased loyalty.

That said, great game for Union today. GB15 had to go Mrs. GB15's doctorate graduation ceremony and reception so he missed the entire second half; a good thing, it seems. U fans were right, their D may give up points but they made the plays in the 4th qtr when they needed to(INT, fumble rec). U's offense was fantastic as well and kicked the snot out of the spineless Ithaca D. Good luck the rest of the way, GB15 will be rooting for Union and Hobart the rest of the way despite his disdain for NNR. GB15 will also be waiting in great anticipation for NNR's backlash to this post, in which he will no doubt accuse me of making excuses(good luck finding one) and will most definitely be making a reference to fecal matter.

Good game U!

Good season Bombers!

Great career IC seniors!
A 2004 graduate of the "almighty legendary" Ithaca College. Goooooo Bombers.

You talked some **** this week GB15, but it's understandable, you're supporting your team.  I'm just waiting for Bill Struzzi, AKA Footballking19, AKA only gets in the game to hold, to come on here and apologize.

Garnet

Way to go LL.

Looks like Garnet missed one helluva day!!

U89,

Garnet called you twice from the wedding for updates....no answer....probably better off because he got to scroll through the PP to follow along as if in real time.

zachattack22

Too many points scored and too many highlight type runs by Acridiacano...to even describe Union's offense...Absolutely unstoppable.

But...the U might want to consider putting some more of their starting offense and defensive players out there on the kick off team....Virginia Tech does it and so do some other big colleges....

The 3-4 defense needs to show many more "looks" and come off the ball better and blitz from different places...

Great win, great season...congrats.

Congrats in order to RPI and Hobart...When RPI was behind, ZA commented to those around him that they would come back in the 2nd half and take control of the game and they did....Way to go LL!!!

Liberty League Sweep, including 2-0 v. Empire 8.

Nice going.

GB15 - I'll say this much...In terms of offense, IC was better than I thought they would be.  So you were part right.  Ithaca was as spirited as they come, and Union's win required some luck as well as a great offensive performance (the kickoff off the helmet, for instance).  All told, it was a great game, as many of us predicted.  I'm proud of both teams.  Glad to see you'll be supporting the Dutchmen to end the season...

Next week will be a fight and a half.

Frank

PS - Congrats to all the LL teams today.

Hey LL/Union, from what I heard it was an epic battle.  Your rb went for like 2 hundo huh.  Well great game for you guys.  I had the over at 80 so made the money, lol, joke.  Anyways, good luck the rest of the way.  Now that you beat us, I guess I can root for you.

E8 OVERRATED? Gro says OUTPLAYED. Either way, there's a few posters that might want to retool their opinions of the LL.

Res thinks more than just a few posters.  Maybe a few voters as well.

Can Res get a Union - Hobart rematch?

And a table dance?
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I must say, after poking my head in on the E8 Board, that I wasn't surprised to see my "homer" nature torn apart by some E8 posters.  I WAS surprised, however, to see Gro stand up for me.  Much thanks, Gro...Owe u a cold one...

I'll admit...when Ithaca returned the 80yd TD off the kickoff, I was exhausted just announcing the game.  All told, 1,134 yds between the two offenses.  That was a game none of us will forget anytime soon.

Frank - Great job as usual on the broadcast.  Wasn't sure if you'd know but what kind of players are on Union's KO coverage???  Any defensive starters on it or is it mainly defensive backups??  Just was curious.  Only 12 more posts til you can dish out some English playa!!!   ::)

Also, here's the box score from the game.   Pretty interesting stats.  Over 1100yds of offense.

Thanks again, Dawg.  Generally, there's a hodgepodge on special teams, sometimes changing from week to week.  However, unless the "hands team" is necessary, I believe kickoff return coverage features more second stringers.  The return team features a few more first teams.  Not an easy answer, however.

Union89 will follow up on the previous posts.....FANTASTIC job!!  Regardless of what RadioMike thinks, Union89 loves the enthusiasm and feels that your excitement ands to our enjoyment....we commented here that at times we thought you were going to have a coronary on the air (the interference, non-call & a couple of the scores).  Carmine also earns points for being critical at times (that pass attempt which led to a fumble in the red zone when Marotti went down in the 1st comes to mind).

Who calls the offensive plays??  Is it G-Man??  Coach Reynolds is a total class act, but some of his play calling has alot to be desired.

Incomplete on an attempted hook and ladder....theres the season......Im gonna talk to the boys and see if Morat got dragged down.........unreal
From the press box, the two looked like the both tripped on each other on an uncatchable ball. The call had some people wondering, but it seems the right call was made. Great game at the Boz, with a dogfight and surprising plays. Great job on both teams! It was hard to believe some picked blowout scores!

Just arrived back in Ithaca... Congrats to Union on the win.  Their offense is really special.  The QB was extremely poised all day, and a couple receivers made incredible plays.  Your RB is a bull... reminded me a bit of our guy Jamie Donavan when he was healthy last year. I have no clue how the offense was held to so few points in the middle of the season.  It was the best I saw this year, a good step above Fisher.

Met a couple of real nice folks from Union, including the kicker's dad.  Having all of the fans on one side of the field should be against NCAA rules, but pretty much everyone handled themselves well.

There were a few members of the Union defense that missed most of the fourth quarter as they yelled at the crowd, and made a number of obsense gestures.  I'm not sure if the Union bench isn't used to opposing fans, but it was the first time I've seen players go out of their way to pick fights with fans. The strangest part was that a number of coaches were watching all of this, and laughing along with it.  The dad of the 12 year old next to me wasn't laughing when one player flicked off the crowd. But alas, to the victor goes the spoils and today was Union's day.  Those defensive players should probably concentrate more on football if they hope to keep Rowan from putting up 60 next week.

A couple tough bounces for Ithaca.  The one kickoff was a huge momentum swing.  I can't help but second guess the decision to punt from the Union 33 late in the 3rd, but what is done is done. I'll have a lot more to post about Ithaca's performance on the E8 board in the next couple days. Hopefully the Bombers earned some respect today from some Union folks.  I know everyone I talked to was very complementary of both sides after the game.

Beautiful facilities as well.  The town itself is a bit sketchy, but the campus is extremely nice.  No one from Ithaca will question the talent of Union after today.  Hopefully we will meet again next year... perhaps this time in Butterfield!

Congrats to all of you Union fans.
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th
