I think BC can beat anyone in the country.  They have everything you need for a great b-ball team.  Bigmen, shooters, shotblockers, ballhandlers.  Everyone on that team can handle the ball, even the oates kid who comes off as a stiff.  They also have guts and they play cool, sometimes too cool.  They commit a lot of stupid turnovers by lazy passes and stuff that they really dont have to make.

U89, Alot of BC guys whine alot.  Dudley would probably get on my nerves if he wasnt on BC.  Hinnant is clutch and Smith, Williams, Marshall and Oates are solid big men.  Marshall was absent in this game though your right.

LD, that Reddick kid hit everything in the end of the game.  Everything.  There wasnt anything BC could have done to stop him.  Im fired up for the tourney.

I dont know what to think about syracuse.  Do you hate or love that mcmanmara kid?  Hes clutch untill he put on that silly "overated!?" shirt after they beat Pit.

Some good games this weekend though.  Im fired up.

Hinnant had a good game but all the bad passes you speak of come from him.  He's so goddamn lazy with the ball it makes me sick.  And now that the seedings come out, I'm completely lost.  BC was ranked 11, NC was ranked 10.  BC beat NC during the regular season, then beat them in the ACC tourney, yeat they get a 4 seed.

Now, help me with this math, 12 divided by 4 equals 3 right?  SO, techniquely, BC should ATLEAST be a 3 seed if not a 2 seed.  These ranking schemes are so bogus, because it is all computer generated.  But, in the long run, it shouldn't matter much.  Just a slap in the face I think.

I hate UCONN about a fraction of how much I hate the Yankees.  Thats a LOT of hatred.  I would love nothing more than for Albany to knock of UCONN in the first round and see everyone in those goofy purple outfits rushing the court.

Lew ~
You beat U89 to that one....how does a Freshmen laden NC team get a better ranking than an experienced BC team after BC beat them twice .....like you said though, it will all come out in the wash....

Ya think 'Gro is going to pull the Great Danes upset in the 1st Round??  If Worcester State qualified, U89 would roll with the Lancers.

PROGRAM ALERT!!!!!!!!!
First new Soprano's in about 2 years tonight followed by the GRAND FINALE OF........

Flavor of Love!!!!!!

Jonny Utah

Yea, BC should have been a 3 seed or at least ranked over NC as they beat them twice and were clearly better.

Like LD said, BCs RPI rating was like a 46.  I really dont understand at all how those stupid rankings work.  They dont in basketball.  I think Hofstra was like 25.

I think BC got a good bracket though.  Pacific, then Nevada or Montana and then a hurt Villanova team......I like their chances.

Reg thinks that LD11 would be one of the kats always in the face of the official complianing after every shot, drive or steal attempt.

Now granted, I didn't watch the game...for several reasons, but why is it that you are always the first one in here complaining???

Refs are not always against teams from New England (this includes the Pats, Red Socks and BC)

Insert picture of LD11 yelling....
"OVER THE BACK!!!   ..........OVER THE BACK!!![/b]

Dude, when someone gets knocked to the ground when shooting, like what happened to Craig Smith twice and Dudley twice, that pisses me off.

Reddick was incredible and woulda been tough to beat either way, but when someone gets knocked to the ground and there's no call, that's crap.  Not to mention, the game was in Greensboro, and was basically a home game for UNCE the day before, and for Duke yesterday, AND Duke gets to remain in Greensboro for the first round, and Villanova gets to play in PA, while they ship BC out to Salt Lake City.  Tell me the NCAA doesn't have it's favorites?

And no, I don't complain to refs.   I threaten their wellbeing.

FMRT (future Mrs.RT) has informed RT of her desire to open her own business. Somehow, in the course of Sun morning, said prospective business has now become "our business" and FMRT is extremely motivated this am and has been working away on her laptop trying to come up with ideas. RT has thrown a few ideas out there, including something porn-related (since this is the largest single internet industry), but nothing has seemed to stick w/ FMRT.  RT is hoping that this doesn't become his project now....

RT wishes he could give himself good karma this am.....he has successfully trained his dog to drop his #2 in the trees behind the neighbors, thus maintaining the ecology of RT's own homestead.

OBSERVATION:  the SU backcourt of McNamara and Everson (spelling?) are a two man version of white chocolate, jason williams. The point guard is Slim Shady and G-mac, even though he can shoot, made some ridiculous, ill-advised passes in crunch time against Pitt. Also, the big goofy center for Pitt is terrible...

I urge Future Mrs. RT to really think tweece about this one.  Granted....you two are not fools, but Reg has seen his share of these types of businesses and they all end the same....There are three sccenarios
#1- The business fails in 2 years no matter how much money you can pony up to keep it afloat (70% chance)
#2- The business is barely turning a profit and the owner is working a minimum of 80 hours a week, bc if they had to hire someone they would be losing money (25% chance)
#3 You found a niche that noone in the area has, it is hot for 5 years.,..and then someone else comes along and says "Hey, they are doing well....why can't I do it better?" (aka the Lowes vs. Home Depot battle") 5% probability

Why can't she go sell real estate or Mary Kay?

Yea the fact is that BC is bigger and more pyhisical than other teams down low.  They get fouled a lot under the hoop and many of them dont get called.  Ill have to go back to one of my posts in the first Duke/BC game where the worst non-call in the history of basketball was made.

Did anyone see Flavor of Love??   I won't say anything to give it away cause I don't know who did or did not see it... But when Flav gave the girl he choose the box & he opened it I broke out laughing...DAMN!!....The best part was when Hoopz & New York were going at it right before Flav made his choice..That was funny!!

actually, RT did bring up real estate. She didn't seem to take to that one other than saying "FMRT wants to deal w/ high end houses" RT was going to suggest the Mary Kay angle except that RT figured she wouldn't want to sling makeup after investing 60K of student loans for undergrad and MBA

ok...time for the game everyone has been waiting on
GUESS THE STATE

The rules are quite simple...so simple, even U89 can play. Ok, just messin w/ you U. Anyhow, the object is to use your knowledge and experience of the female species by geography, along with the visual clues provided in the pictures, to guess the state of residence of the chic in the pic. This is a multiple choice exercise. answers will be posted later that day

1) Colorado
2) Mississippi
3) New York
4) Pennsylvania
5) West Virginia
6) Ohio

Maybe FMRT would consider buying a franchise? Does she mind smelling like quiznos all day long?

since you're up in toga town, maybe a biznass that caters to the rich summer track crowd.

...RT luke warm on the franchise idea. too much start up $. RT is hot on the idea of opening an 'eBay store' here. Simple concept...you bring your stuff to RT and he does all the leg work of selling it for you on eBay. Saw one of those stores on Rt17 in Dirty Jersey and it was doing great. Obviously, the target market wouldn't be internet savvy people like the LL,Inc. However, there's a big market for folks who can't find the plug on a computer but have junk they need to sell....
