Reg, LD11, Mrs. Reg, and WTFF combined forces last night in DC for a Nationals game, and got pretty banged up.  Sufficed to say, I am hung-ovaaaaahhh.

Thanks to John Daley and Charles "Round Mound of Double Down" Barkley 'Gro had a dream about gambling last night... in said dream 'Gro took the deed to thug mansion II and traded it for a boatload of chips.  Lost a few grizz right off the bat but started a furious comeback right before I woke up.

KS thanks Tmerton for the T-shirt link, nice shirts.

Knightstalker needs to ask the LLPP Inc experts a question.  When looking for a job and the job specifies bi-linguality but does not specify which language, is it appropriate to apply and list Pig-Latin as a second language?  Technically KS is not lying.

Seriously KS is sending out the resume but is considering walking away from the IT world and going into business for himself.

AJ,
A little K to you.

Garnet

Since today is Cinco de Mayo, Garnet brings Miss Mexico to the LLPP.

Garnet

We should also include a little something for the losing side on Cinco de Mayo.

watching the derby... they are showing shots from the crowd and I had to laugh when I saw the following 3 people sitting together

Lionel Richie, One of the guys from ZZ Top, and Ludacris.

Here's an artists conception of the scene

Gro,  :D :D :D :D :D

I like your reference to that little band from Houston, Texas...

Trivia question on those same lines... and what is the name of the clean-shaven drummer for ZZ Top?  Frank Beard

Dino took over for the 1992 season and promptly went 6-3 (RPI opened up a can of whoop asss at the U on homecoming), and followed up in 1993 with an undefeated season with 9 or 10 wins.

Never got recruited by Dino, but Bobby can see how he turns some people off.  That first season was a bit of a culture shock for those who played under Bags the year before.  Once bobby got to know him, bobby could play for him and respect him.

But honestly, bobby looked at Alfred, Cortland, Ithaca, SLU, and Union, and most coaches are salesmen.  Bags was pretty blunt, but Butterfield was so blunt, that it was almost rude.  Butterfield pretty much told bobby that all freshmen would play freshman ball, period.  With that, he turned bobby over to some other coach and that was the last bobby saw of the man.

Bobby:
What was your impression of Alfred? Back in the early 90s, Moretti would have been coach. Am I correct with my description that Alfred is "not the end of the earth, but you can see it from here."?

From what I remember, Moretti was a great guy, probably the nicest coach I met with during the recruiting trips.  With respect to the town? I think I may have to disagree, one could not only see the end of the earth from Alfred, one could sit down with a few bottles and dangle their legs over the edge.  Actually, I think the town may have only had three stop signs, two police officers, and one police car.

Other than that I don't remember much from that visit and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.  Was the field located in a depression and have the same type of artificial turf that WPI has/had?  The kind with the sand built in so you were guaranteed to go home which so many rug burns that you had to peel your sheet off in the morning?

'Gro Television Review: The Sopranos

Gro was a few weeks behind on this series but caught up thanks to the DVR. Some comments on this season.

Need more scenes w/ Medow... but no dialog. Just her looking hot. Anyone else think her boyfriend is one weird looking dood?

A few more scenes in the Bing wouldn't hurt either

Lots of product placement... Tony's Escalade, Carms Cayanne (sp), etc. At one meeting everyone was eating panera sandwhiches, and the whole Jamba Juice thing last night.

How come no one questioned Christopher after Adriana "disappeared"? It's been 2 years and the mom never filed a missing person report?

That festival last night, reminds me of St. Anthony's feast in Sch'dy. Those crazy Italians.

Yes More Meadow.  Hot Chick with suffering dork artist a very old common tale.

The FBI was supposedly on this from the beginning.  A story line that has stalled.

The only thing missing was the obnoxious clown in the dunk tank.
