1. Scary as hell in an already unstable situation. Sounds like KR might serve his post Med school Navy commitment in Israel instead of Iraq. Expect gas prices to skyrocket if this crapolla lasts longer than another week. No logical reason for the bump in prices other than fear since neither Israel or Lebanon are major exporters, but people hear war in the Middle East and gas jumps 20cents a gallon.
Hell, if a newspaper headline read "Dude in Syria Farts for 15 Minutes Straight" gas would jump here by a dime just because the headline says gas and a country in the middle of the sandbox.

2.  KR couldn't agree more. It's not like the infection is gonna kill the damn horse, the trainer's will. Sounds more like a Kevorkian case than anything. KR is tempted to go ultra-stealth, slip into his deer hunging camo, grab the 20-guage and a box of shells and sneak in and send Barbaro to horsey-heaven just so KR doesn't have to see a GD Barbaro update on espn.com and cnn.com every day.

Reg, KR feels your pain. MrsKR has 2-3 loaves of different kinds of bread going at a time to see "which one is better." This has been going on for nearly a year now and there is still apparently no winner yet...
It's frickin' bread, no matter what it's gonna turn into a brown missle and enter the Des Moines sewer system within 24 hours, so it's not a life changing choice.
This is why KR buys the 99cent store brand and fuhgetsaboutit.

IF AJ were the owners AJ would want every chance to save that horse, esp since each one of his loads would be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

As Gro crosses over into 3000 land, I'd like to take the time to thank... myself.  I wrote these posts. I'm the one giving up valuable work time to drop some science on the citizens of post patternsville. You think I like spending all this time online? This is work too, I should be getting paid for this. How I can juggle this and a real job is nothing short of a miracle...
