'Gro, I have to agree with Reg.  When it comes to fancy restaurants, and a nice steak or sushi, or something that is man-tastic, you gotta suck it up.  It's not like it was $40.  It was $24.  Thats nothing.  That's a couple beers in the same bar i'm sure.  I mean, if you're all about eating Wendy's and McDonald's then have at it, but good luck clearing out the arteries in 5 years.

So I was out last night as well...

A dude with a blue tooth ear piece was sitting at a table by himself with his Jake DelHomme jersey, going nuts and yelling LOUDLY after every play.  I wanted to go punch him in the face, first tell him it's 9:30, you're a loser, no one is going to call you on your F'ing blue tooth!!! AGGGHHH  I hate those.  Second, you moron, it's a friggin preseason game!  DOn't swear at Chris Chambers for his Offensive Pass Interference.  I mean, do you really care?  It's friggin preseason man!

Also, cool or uncool?  You walk up to the bartender and ask, What Lagers do you have on tap?  Yeah, that happened.

JT was out at the Jets vs. Giants preseason game.  Same thing... Its friggin practice you morons.  Before they made us pay for preseason JT, pops, and bro never went.  $65 a pop for practice.  This is why the owners will never reduce preseason to two games.  They want to steal the full game fee regardless of who gets hurt.

Now JT likes to see some good things happen... some progression...  but some of these fans are nuts.  Painted blue... painted green and screaming themselves horse.

JT saw two of his monkey stompers doing well Tiki Barber and the kicker Jay Feely.

KS is with JT on the Budweiser, Michelob and Bud Light are ok though.  KS prefers Yuengling or Rolling Rock for standard domestic beers.  KS remembers when RR was cheap swill like PBR until the stoopit yuppies in Hoboken and other places started liking it.

KS never got the Corona thing either, XX and Tecate are both much better beers and the only beer that should have fruit in it is Weiss Beer, the lemon really adds to weiss beer.

Ah yes RR, the beer made with rice... good stuff.  JT hates yuppies.  Blue Moon (wheat brew) with an orange slice is pretty good too.

see if you doodz drank PBR you wouldnt have these issues when you went out... pbr is not on tap in many bars anymore  >:(  so pbr has to order it in 16 oz canz....fyi chicks dig guys who drink PBR since its the real mantastic sudz....almost as good as the colt 45...proper  8)

Bromley a ski area in southern VT has always had PBR on tap, even when it was considered junky beer.  AJ feels that someone connected to the brewery must own the mountain due to the fact that they also have two trails named after the beer.  One is Pabst and the other Blue Ribbon.

Off to drink any and ever beer AJ can get his hand s on at the track!!! Lets hope the betting goes well.

One such area was Big Bromley, in Manchester Center. Fred Pabst, a skiing enthusiast and entrepreneur, founded this ski area in 1936. Pabst had seen the prospects of skiing as an important commodity in Vermont, and wished to see skiing introduced to the general populace. In order to do this, Pabst set up small, rope tow ski areas wherever a train station was located. However, little money was generated from this "chain store" approach to skiing, so Pabst disposed of all except for Big Bromley. "Pabst's motto was 'pamper the people'" (Older 17). The approach to buying multiple areas has since been revived, as mass conglomerates have become commonplace today.

Pabst also had one more significant contribution to the development of skiing: the invention of a J-bar lift. A J-bar lift is essentially a pole, with another bar that sticks out, from which skiers are dragged up a graded slope. This lift was much easier to use, as riders did not have to grab onto a rope, but could rather ride up the mountain in comfort. This lift was "Pabst's greatest source of pride and joy," (Older 17). A listing in "The Complete Ski Guide" of 1940 for Bromley read "Forty miles of trails, 250 acres of varying slopes; cable tramway; three tows; popular with the metropolis as it is close to New York, possesses interesting slalom glade, all trails designed to insure maximum safety for all classes of skiing," (145). Bromley was categorized as a major area for that time.

the above passage was found here: http://www.vermonter.com/skihistory.asp

Captain Pabst died n 1904 at the height of his company's success. Control of the brewery was passed on to his sons, Gustav, who became president, and Fred, Jr. who was vice-president. Fred, Jr. resigned his office in 1905 and moved to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin were he operated the Pabst Farms. Gustav exhibited the same flair for the brewery business as hand his father and the company continued to dominate the industry. New restaurants and beer gardens were built, including Milwaukee's famous Gargoyle Restaurant, which opened in 1906 on Wisconsin Avenue.

One of the Oldest Continuous Running Ski Areas in U.S.

Bromley Mountain located in the Green Mountain National Forest, six miles east of Manchester, Vt., is one of the oldest continuous running ski areas in the United States.

Founded in 1936 by beer heir Fred Pabst, Jr., a pioneer in the ski industry, Bromley introduced ski lift and ski area design, trail grooming, day care and other concepts.

KS used to drink in an East Village bar called Doc Hollidays back in the early 90's.  The bar had mostly hard core country and western on the juke, and the rest was southern rock.  KS liked the music, the well endowed female bartenders that used to give out free shots and .75 PBR cans.  It was country boy heaven in the middle of the East Village.  KS should go see if the bar is still there.

Maybe it's a mark of my old age, but turning into one of my favorite past times, is going to the grocery store.  I don't know what it is about this area, but girls go grocery shopping alone, or with another girl only, they wear very skimpy outfits, sometimes skirts, sometimes those tight workout pants, and tank tops with boobs hanging out all over the place.  It's almost like they go there knowing they are going to see LD11 staring at their chest while I pick out some nice ripe tomatoes.  I totally got busted by the girl at the salad bar.  It looked like she just got out of the gym, and she had this tight tank top thing on and her boobs were staring at me.  What's a white guy to do right?  I was taking a look, and she totally looked up and bam, eye contact...BUSTED!!!

Chuck the Ice Man just knocked Babalu the fugout!  Rearranged his stupid pretty Brazilian face.  1 minute 35 seconds into the first round.  Good times.

When Chuck walked into DMX singing 'One two one two, come through run through.  Gun who, oh you don't know what the gun do.'  Man if that song doesn't get you fired up to beat someone's azz I don't know what will!

And the Pats looked swell tonight.  41-0 over the highly regarded Redskins.  I know it's preseason, but they were sharp tonight.  Niiiice...

Good work on the freelance j-o-b Bud... Since its still technically the offseason I've got a story about a woman down in chula vista with a recipie for the worlds best meatloaf.  "Now that's a hot lead!"

bigdvs streches arms overhead, cracks all knuckles and does about 50 up downs (in bigdvs's dreams). Time for another d3 football season. bigdvs thanks those that post all year for keeping at it. If bigdvs is having a bad day at work, a quick swing on by the LLPP board and chuckle at the insanity always made the afternoons go faster.

Review: Chattanooga Beerfest

13 bucks to get in and get your "free" mug.  Beer samples are free but it cost $2 to fill your mug. Good beers all around, mostly from TN, NC, GA brewers. Gro arrived around 3, and was pretty much in the bag by 6. Gro was definetly "that guy" with the beer stain on his shirt.

it won't let me post a pic of the shirt damage... I will post it soon.
