Marty McFly

I heard Angiletta did have surgery to get back quicker because it was a clean break but he is not suspected to get back until like Audino said 6 weeks. Im sure he will see how the team stands. Like Tlm said he does live with all those guys and Im sure if they r in the thick of the liberty league title and he can play against hobart and rpi they would want him to play along with Audino.

LLPP inc needs KR's  opinion on this one...will surgery get you back faster.  If they have to cut you open to fix the problem i feel that the healing process will most likely be longer.

I would think it would be possible on a collar bone.  Not much muscle to cut through?  One time I broke my femur.  Clean Break.  It was 6 months to heal naturally.  I had surgery and now I only have one leg.

AJ-

I am no doctor, however I play one on TV

You have been hearing alot obout invasive procedures and how they increase the length of recovery time and how the cutting edge of technology is bringing healthcare to rely on non-invasive or at least less invasive procedures.  Up until recently, Doc's used to just crack open a blade and started cutting.....with the cost of inpatient hospital stays added to the already limited supply of nursing resources for those inpatients, hospitals are doing whatever they can in order to shorten the recovery time for these people....plus inpatient care is what puts hospitals in the red.

With that being said, Reg thinks that a surgery that fixes the problem gets the kid better than waiting for the collar bone to heal "naturally" is the only choice.

The hype I was spitting earlier is mainly for very serious invasive procedures where a patient may spend MANY days in recovery time via the "cut em open technique" compared to the "microscopic surgery" hospitals are merging towards today.  Please don't get the two different scenarios twisted.

PS- "What happened.....I just blacked out"

Clavicle is very close to the surface with only a thin sheet of muscle over it.
KR doens't know enough to say for sure which is better. KR's cousin broke her clavicle in a car wreck a few months back and was mostly healed within 7 weeks or so, but she was heading back to work as a secretary, not as a fooseball player.

As far as hospital stay goes, the only way it would need to be an inpatient procedure is if there were major complications. In theory, the dood would show up about 7AM be in surgery by 9AM and be ready to go home by 1-2PM.

As far as whether surgery or natural healing is better, ask an orthopod, KR hasn't had that rotation yet. KR has only had radiology, so KR can tell if the clavicle is broken or not, but that decision has already been made. :-\
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.
