That becker school is going to have a tough time ever being good.  At least Husson is the only d3 (non nescac) school in Maine and can get some Northern NE players...

Here's what I like this week...
Arizona  +7  @ Atlanta
Dallas  @  Tennessee +9.5
Indianapolis   @  NY Jets +9
Miami  @  Houston +4
Minnesota +1  @  Buffalo
New Orleans +7.5  @  Carolina
San Francisco +7  @  Kansas City
Cleveland  @  Oakland +2.5
New England +6  @  Cincinnati

5-4, not bad. Stay away from any game involving the AFC east

I know what you're asking and the answer is YES, i DID bench Santana Moss in my $$$ FFL this week.  I'm currently up 12 with no one left, opponent w/ Chicago's D tonight.  Need some points for Seattle.

In LLPP FFL, I don't know if the New Haven Heroes can come back from LD11 this week.  Beware LLPP FFL players.  LD11's team is finally coming together.

gro should have retired from fantasy football after winning 2 leagues in 05.  At least lamont jordan came back from the dead vs the doo doo browns... of course jordan was on my bench.

Yea, I kept my faith with the Pats and it paid off.  I still stunk it up this weekend going 3-8 so far and it looks like Ill be 3-9 after the bears/seahawks game.

Dam frickin raiders.

Hobart is the only team that I know of that can win a game and fall a spot in the Top 25.

I do not blame The Guru and the Statisticians.  Hobart needs to win a game decisively.

The Rev reckons that with the way Hobart has been playing so far this season, this bye week may be the best chance they have of going up in the rankings.  The irony of it all.

The Rev hopes Coach Cragg uses this week to pull the Statesmen's collective head out of their collective rectum.

I lost.  All I needed was 1 fricking touchdown.  Seattle did EVERYTHING possible for me to lose.  Unbelievable.

My $$FFL team is down 28 points with L.J. Smith and Donnie Driver playing tonight... Carson Palmer: Zero TD's 2 fumbles. Jerk. LLPP team is up by a CH and just needs mr jennings to not fumble tonight.

Rowan fell too.

Correction: I should have said that Hobart is the only team "that I pay attention to."  If Rowen fell, too, then that softens the blow a little.

Rt Rev -

TGP isn't going to sweat the rankings.  All that matters is winning the LL.  Anything else is really not that important.

The bye couldn't have come at a better time if you ask TGP.  4 games in Bart has enough tape to spend some QT reviewing what they need to improve on if they are going to have a shot at winning their final 5 games.

Here are a few items that jump off on the stat sheet to TGP:

52 yds lost in penalties a game.  29 flags over 4 contests means Bart is making too many mental mistakes.  They need to clean up their act and play better ball.

+4 TO margin - one of the main reasons Bart has won all 4 games, but Bart has also coughed up the ball via 4 fumbles and 4 ints (many of these directly due to bad ball handling on Mizro's part - he needs to do a better job especially since winter basically starts in Upstate around 10/15 and the rock gets muddy and wet), which isn't good enough to git er done.

7 sacks - DLine needs to turn up the heat on opposing QBs.  More sacks means lowering that 200 yds/game passing allowed by the inexperienced Bart secondary.

11 sacks allowed - OLine needs to improve it's pass protection.

Still, there are some good signs:

32:22 TOP a game - Bart is controlling the clock - sometimes the best defense (especially when your D is young), is keeping your opponents O off the field.

42% 3rd down conversion - could/should be higher, but still not too bad.  Our punter averaging 41 yds per punt, net 35 is pretty good too.

50% 4th down conversions - in typical Cragg fashion, Bart is not afraid to go for it on 4th down.

Maybe Bart took the Bizarro-neers too lightly, maybe parity in the LL is coming around.  Either way, TGP is sure that based on the Union-MM score, Bart will come out on 10/14 recognizing that this year's MM team is not the same one they beat 27-9 last season.
