Touchdown Tommy

ATTENTION JT:  If TDT remembers correctly you are in the ticket broker business (part-time/on the side).  What was the demand like for this opening series with DET?  There is a good chance that TDT will be in the NYC next week and if all goes well my Twins will be there, playing Game 1 on Tuesday night at the Stadium.  Will you have tix?  Let me know what the market is bringing.  Otherwise I will go to the trusty street after getting off the Subway, love dealing with the scalpers...

Is it RT or does Hobart happen to be living on the edge in some of these games? Has 'Bart dominated anyone?

Senator RT, from the Great State of RT,

the quick answers to your questions are a) SOME??  How about all?!?! and b) HELL NO!

Bart has lived very dangerously so far and disaster has loomed in each game.  Fortunately the Statesmen seem to be able to turn it up just enough to either come back and/or hold on for a win each week.

As far as the tie break situation, I believe it's too early in the season to call.  Likely it will depend on the final records vs. the rest of the LL and then how things shake out head to head.  TGP could not find any tie break info on the LL website.

Knightstalker

The tiebreaker is the Head Coaches in a Steel Cage Death Match.  From everything KS has read his money would be on the Kinger.

RE: Yankees.

Take away Giambi, Jeter, Rivera, Damon, and one starting pitcher and the payroll is equal to the redsox, and the team is the same as the redsox.  Put those players on the redsox and its the redsox easlily winning the world series.  Point is, baseball is a sham.

RE: Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I went to the show the other night. (boston garden) and it was sick.  Im not a huge music guy but that Frusciante was sick as well.  Great show.

I saw the Chili Peppersd a few years back at Great Woods.  Still one of the greatest shows i've been to.  Those guys get after it.  What pissed me off was the 16 year olds there who didn't know the old stuff.  I mean, the old stuff is what made them right???

'gro

I saw LL Cool J at Tuffts in '98.  Kids were crowdsurfing (not even to 'momma said' just some regular song) and one poor kid floated down the line to young gro who proceeded to shot put the kid 10 feet on top of some other NESCACians.

The best part is that later in the night I met the kid... he lived in the same dorm as my friend I was visiting.

Yea, the garden (TDbanknorth center now) was rocking.  What pissed me off about the show also was that they got on stage at around 8:45 and they stopped serving beer at like 9:15 and you could only buy 1 beer at a time in line!?! , and then all these kids hound you to buy them beers and ****.  Very mature show for the most part though.  No drunks, fights or huge crowds.  Great place to watch a show.  Great sound, lights, everything.

And I like the old stuff too but some of the new stuff I never heard of was great as well.

JT

JT's got notice last night that two of his online casino companies are closing his account and send him the balance remaining due to impending US legislation.  Has this happened to any LLPP'ers yet?

US lawmakers took the industry by surprise when an "Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act" was eventually attached to an unrelated bill aimed at improving port security.

President Bush is thought unlikely to veto a bill which a senior Republican said was needed to regulate a "shadow industry".

"Gambling is a serious addiction that undermines the family, dashes dreams and frays the fabric of society," said Bill Frist, Senate Majority Leader.

Is Frist serious.... are we going back to prohibition next?  1099 me and leave me alone.

Regulator

Ciao LLPP-

Reg checking in from his vacation to see how things were going.  Right now I'm in Venice.....where it just so happens that 3 hours let's you see EVERYTHING you need to see in the entire city.  It just so happens that Reg has walked more miles this week than he did his entire college career.

A couple items about italy.
#1 the girls are NOT good looking.
#2 WOuld it kill these people to not eat bread for one meal in a day?
#3 I will refuse to speak any form of italian....in fact, if you cannot understand my English/ hand signals, you will NOT get a Euro of my money.
#4 the only place on earth where the dollar does not reign supreme...in fact, they wont even take them!! In Mexico, if you broke out a $5 spot, you were some kind of god....here, the bums don't even accept anything green.
#5 These cats dont have the internet ANYWHERE!!! How hard can it be to buy a wireless router and share it between 20 apartments?  I would be a millionaire if I lived here and sold wireless?
#6 Everything here is small....I will post a picture later, but the first place Reg and MR stayed in had a bathroom that I could extend my elbows at shoulder level and be able to touch both walls...(with ease).
#6a It just so happens that same bathroom had a water faucet shaped like a toilet bowl that served the most delicious tap water....

More later, I will try to keep it interesting for the LLPP.

PBR...

nice reg...pbr see's your drinking out of the bidet over there....no worries pbr doubts the people who sat on it before you had any std's and wiped vigorously before using the bidet for the final cleanup....http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Bidet
