My buddy down here is a huge Bills and Yankees fan(from Buffalo).  Our bet on todays game includes the loser dressing in all Red Sox OR Yankees gear out to the bars next weekend.  Jerseys, hats, gold chains, the whole shibang.  Pats better cover today.

We are playing with the points which is currently New England -5.5 which is good for my account i believe.  Not only do I need them to win financially, but I need them to win for my well being.

Better get the Yankees gear ready!!!  (I wish, unfortunately in reality I think you are safe)

-Thoughts for the Week-
-I'll be pulling for the 'Bart next weekend at Alfred but I shall not root for the Bills anymore as they have broken my heart and left me empty and dead inside.
- Ted Baker is to be commended on his level of play by play commentary the WEOS Radio station has come a long way since the politically correct days of one woman sportscaster that when I listened made my ears leak blood .
-In the Clinton vs. Spencer Senatorial debate I could not help but feel for Spencer who had trouble getting a reply in due to the democrat heavy crowd that smothered any of his responses.
- How the hell did St. John Fisher get smacked like that?
- Will Division III ever have a brawl like we saw at Miami vs FIU?
-Tom Cruise is an overrated celebrity.
-Rick Flair is not very big in real life.
- There is not too many things in life better than a football game played on Thanksgiving with friends from High School Glory Days.
-Mike Cragg has a set of brass balls.
- Coaching football is not as fun as playing football.
- If i go to a salon to get my haircut becuase there is no barbershop in the area, does that make me a fruit?
-Tom Reynolds is a coward.
- Pizza anywhere other than Western New York is garbage.
- The new Quizno's prime rib sub gives me sweet dreams at night.
- Can Hobart go undefeated?

Will Division III ever have a brawl like we saw at Miami vs FIU?


We did, weren't you at the 98 Hobart Union game in Schetchnectady? Devon Wimberly at his finest.
We had haymakers and helmets flying every where.
NCAA called for the tapes and players were actually kicked off the team on the Union end.

St. Peters at NJCU in 92 or 93 when St. Peters was still allowed to play D-III football.  A St. Peters player hit an NJCU player after he went out of bounds and plowed him into the chain link fence around the field.  The NJCU players took exception to that and a brawl errupted.  After the players got seperated and sent to their benchs several NJCU players and a coach started to head towards St. Peters bench, it took most of the NJCU team, the coaching staff, NJCU security and the JCPD to restore order and get those hotheads back to the sideline.

The E8's had a few in other sports:

IC-Cortland baseball had a dandy in '04: an IC football player joined from the stands and an injured player had to be stopped from running out from the press box.

The highlight had to have been Coach Valasente leaping onto one of IC's offending players and bear-hugging him out of the pile.

And the ugliest of them all.... Fisher-Naz basketball in February '04. Injured kid in street clothes running on the court with a punch... "Cardinal Crazies" censured.... entire Fisher bball team mandated 150 hours of community service....

SP 2004 was a rough semester for Emperor Chuck Mitrano's sportsmanship legacy.

I was just thinking football, in basketball Rowan NJCU had a bench clearing brawl several years ago.  Several Rowan players were suspended for a game, several NJCU players one game, a couple got two games and Coach Brown threw two off the team.  It was ugly.  Jon Green was a captain for NJCU and is a large extremely powerful young man, he was actually picking NJCU players up and shoving them towards the bench trying to stop the fight.  The only funny thing was one NJCU player whose pants somehow ended up around his ankles trying to run down the court after a Rowan player.  I wish I had video of that.

Not players getting after it but fans at the 99 and 00 Cortaca Jug games.  In 99 the IC college/city cops let the dogs out.  RD77 remembers those hounds kicking @ss on the scoreboard side.  In 00 the Cortland cops were droping pepper gas like on the crowd like it was WWIII.  When the players came back out after the game from the lockerrooms, snotty nosed, swollen eyed students were strewn all over the track due to the gas.
